Roger that, Shane says on the other end at Bette’s house standing at the kitchen counter with her phone on speaker. People are showing up and Kit is directing them to the back yard where the refreshments are.

Oh I have some dictation I was working on. you know me always working on my writing. She says with a big fake smile hoping Bette buys it.

Shane’s on the other end. Yea right, dictate my ass. Stop the chatter and get your ass moving.

Alice grabs their dolly and takes off in a fast pace. Come on guys…

I never seen her move this fast Tina says. And what’s up with her does she seem weird to you?

Bette looks at her. Are you kidding? Al always acts weird. They both laugh as they make it out front where Alice in already loading their bags.

Al why do you have my jeep? Bette asks with a stern voice

Oh I knew you guys had luggage and maybe packages and I knew they wouldn’t fit in my little dinky car so I brought this. I hope you don’t mind I just love driving it.

That’s fine, I’ll drive. Bette says

No!  I mean I want to drive. You ride back here with Tina. Opening the door for her.

Ok, you sure you’re feeling all right Al? And what’s up with those shades and the black suit?

Yea, all is good. And this is what all the chauffeur are wearing these days. She quickly shuts the door and gets in the driver’s seat. Bette and Tina just look at each other and giggle at their friend and her comments they missed so much.

She pulls away. The Eagle is on the move.
