The Secret of Kew Garden Hills

Shea, thankfully, didn’t even try to touch Ashley, and they fell asleep as they kept moving and trying to find a comfortable position in which they could rest.

The next morning, the two ladies slept late,  having been up into the early morning hours the night before. Ashley’s head was pounding.

    “Are you awake?” She asked.

    “Yes,” Shea mumbled.

    “How do you feel?”

Shea said something that Ashley didn’t understand. She kissed Shea’s neck and got up to make coffee.

“Are you hungry? There’s a diner on the corner. We can get breakfast.”

“Sure, maybe I can borrow a shirt though?” Shea said.

“Of course,” Ashley laughed, remembering the tight black low cut sweater Shea wore last night.

Ok, Ashley thought, this is good, I will just tell her how I feel and then we can move on. I still want to see her, at least until I know where the Rina thing is going. I hope…

They  walked back down the stairs, down the street, into the diner and sat at a booth. They ordered breakfast from the waiter. Shea sat there smiling. She still looked so pretty, it just seems she’s a bit misguided.

“Shea, I enjoyed last night, but things moved a bit quickly,” Ashley said.

“What?” Shea responded. Ashley could see the hurt on Shea’s face.

“Just, fast. Things moved really fast. Just from the couch to the bed….”

    “Your suggestion,” Shea said.

“Yea and then you took your shirt off….”

“You put your hands up my shirt!” Shea whispered angrily.

    “Yea but I usually don’t…”

“You usually don’t what? Invite someone back to your apartment, fool around, and then tell them the next day things moved too quickly?” Shea said. Ashley felt guilty for thinking the anger made her sexy.

“If you don’t want to see me anymore say that, don’t give me a bullshit excuse.”

“I do want to see you, I just want to get to know you before anything else happens.”

They ate in silence. The bill came, and Ashley finally said, “I don’t know if you have plans today, but you can come back over and we can just chill.” Ashley couldn’t face another day just sitting by herself wishing she was with Rina. Shea would be a distraction. She was surprised, but Shea agreed.

    1. Very sweet story. Now will Rina and Ashley become a couple? Or is this just a short term dallance? A married woman with two children in a religiously conservative family and community is going to be a hard environment to escape. Its a wonder she has computer access.
