Bella's Little Sister!
He grinned; it was a yes.
I giggled, ''sure.''
We climbed out of his car, his backpack pulled over his shoulder. I just realized that Edward's car was parked right in front of Luc's. The walk to my house was short, because dad opened the door with a un-readable expression.
''Dad, this is my friend Luc, he's going to help me with my homework.''
''Luc…?'' Charlie said as in ''give-me-his-second-name-so-I-can-write-it-on-his-tomb-stone.''
''Luc August,'' Luc smiled, extending his hand.
''Ah,'' dad shook his hand, ''I haven't heard about a August clan in town.'' He raised his eye brow.
''I'm a orphan, I live with Logan Windfield and Patrick Aquilla.''
''Aquilla…'' Dad said, like he knew them but didn't.
I took Luc's arm and passed my father by the door.
''Bella?'' I asked.
''In here,'' she said.
Luc and I walked into the living room and saw Edward and Bella sitting on the sofa.
''I put your bag in your room, Julie.''
''Thank you,'' I said, ''come on, Luc.''
He nodded and I made my way towards the basement door. I heard my father clear his throat.
''Yes father?'' I turned.
''Where do you think you're going?'' He asked.
''To my room to do homework,'' I spoke slowly.
''Oh really?'' He raised a eyebrow.
''Yep,'' I blinked.
Mom let boys up in my room to study. Dad was being unreasonable.
''Come on dad,'' Bella said.
His lips were pulled into a tight line. I hated it that he didn't trust me.
He sighed, ''leave the door open.''
I nodded and made my way down the creaky stairs with Luc hot on my trail. Even when he was trying to be slow, he could still out run anything. We made ourselves comfy on my bed and opened our books.
''You're a orphan?'' I asked.
He nodded, ''I don't remember my parents.''
''Really?'' I asked.
''Logan knows more than I do,'' he said.
''How?'' I tilted my head.
''He's the one who changed me,'' Luc smiled.
''Are you parents dead or something?'' I asked.
''Yeah.'' His lips twitched down, ''that's all he'll let me know.''
