    Good thing her back was to my front, because I was smiling like a five year old who was just given a lollipop. Spencer then pulled me incredibly closer to her even though there was barely any space separating us to begin with.

    After I had finished the fall semester at MCC, I transferred to UB’s music program and here I am a couple months later, staring at the very door where Spencer Carlin turned me down.

    Kristen: Did we get all your bags?

    Ashley: Yep, I’m ready to go in.

    My heart was pounding away at my chest. I don’t think I’ve ever been so nervous in my life. If I don’t get into that room soon I might pass out.

    I opened the door and to my surprise there was no Spencer. I was disappointed and relieved at the same time. So I unpacked my bags and settled into my new room.

    Kristen: So Aiden’s having another party tonight to kick off the start of the spring semester. You game?

    Yes! It’s been a pretty overwhelming day and I could use some alcohol to calm my frazzled nerves.

    Ashley: Yeah sure.

    Later that evening Kristen and I went to the party at Aiden’s dorm. And just when I had lost all hope of seeing Spencer, there she was waiting for Kristen outside of Aiden’s room. God she looked absolutely breathtaking.

    Spencer had a look of confusion on her face at the sight of me. She looked as if she had just seen a ghost.

    Spencer: What is this Kristen?

    Spencer said with a hint of annoyance in her voice. Okay now I’m confused.

    Kristen: Umm, I may have forgotten to mention Ashley’s our new roommate.

    Ashley /Spencer: What!?

    Kristen: I’m going inside and you two aren’t allowed in until you work your shit out.

    Kristen darted into Aiden’s room, making sure to lock the door. Spencer and I just stood outside the room in an awkward silence for a good couple minutes before either of us said a word.

    Spencer: Just to let you know, I’m still mad at you!

    Wow this woman can hold a grudge.

    Ashley: Just so you know, you look amazing.

    I am dying to get my lips on hers right now and I have been ever since the day we met.

    Spencer: Aw thank you… hey wait a minute! You can’t pull that stuff on me. I’m not falling for it.

    I had to chuckle at that.

    Ashley: So have you thought about giving me a second chance? I’d at least like to be your friend.
