Spencer: You’re going to really have to prove yourself in order to be my friend Ash, because right now I can trust you about as far as i can throw you. How about we start as acquaintances and see how it goes from there.

I stepped closer to her.

Ashley: Acquaintances? Come on, I know I can be better to you than that.

Spencer: Look I already agreed to give you a chance, but it’s got to start somewhere and that’s all I have to offer at the moment, so take it or leave it. The sooner we get this figured out, the sooner we can go to the party.

God she’s stubborn.

Ashley: Fine. Acquaintances it is.

We finally we were let into the party. Spencer immediately left my side to go stand by a group of Aiden’s friends form the basketball team. I just rolled my eyes and went to get a beer. Kristen eventually left Aiden’s side to join me on the couch.

Kristen: Wow Ashley you’re really giving off a depressing vibe over here. You know maybe if you attempted to be social and wipe that frown off your face, people might actually talk to you.

Kristen continued to rant about how lame I was being, but I was just staring at Spencer the whole time, replaying our conversation in my head, trying to figure out where I went wrong.

Kristen: You know what I mean Ashley? Ashley? …

Maybe I should go talk to her. What does an acquaintance even do? If we’re going to be roommates, she’s going to have to learn to like me. Wait, who’s that guy she’s talking to? And why is he yelling at her?

Kristen: So what do you think?

Ashley: Hold on.

I got up and walked over to Spencer, completely blowing Kristen off, to make sure everything was okay. Spencer seemed to be in a pretty heated argument with one of Aiden’s friends, but I had to get closer to hear what they were saying.

Spencer: Seriously Erick? We have been over for at over a year. I don’t like you anymore and you only have yourself to thank for that. You’re the one who cheated on me!

This guy was obviously hammered, he could barely stand up straight. But it seemed like this tall blonde loser seemed to be giving Spencer a hard time.
