“Come out come out, wherever you are,” Spencer cooed. “Mommy dearest is gone, now come out little mouse, the cat wants to play.”

Ashley scooted out from under the bed. There were dust balls stuck in her hair and there were a few gray smudges on her bare back. She was holding her right arm over her exposed breasts, which had them pushed nicely together. Spencer wasn’t making any effort to mask the fact that she was staring.

“Spence. Your mom is so scary, is she always just going to pop in like that?!” She asked.

“God I hope not, I have something to ask you though.” Spencer bit her bottom lip, like she always did when she was nervous. Ashley loved it. “This weekend my mom wants me to come home and I was wondering if you wanted to go with me, she said to bring this best friend she’d heard so much about.”

Ashley’s heart warmed at the thought of Spencer telling her mother that she was her best friend. Even though she hardly knew the other girl, she was flattered with the title of girlfriend and best friend.

“Of course I’ll go with you, it’ll be fun,” Spencer smiled at her brightly and she noticed just how blue her eyes could be.

“Do you want to go grab some coffee? Maybe some breakfast? I don’t know about you, but if I want to finish all of my homework, I need some fuel!” Ashley nodded and they started to get dressed.

After throwing on some of Spencer’s sweatpants and one of her t shirts, Ashley was noticing just how hungry she really was. They skipped off toward the cafeteria and enjoyed a leisurely brunch.

“So you have a brother?” Ashley asked through a mouthful of doughnut.

“Yeah actually I have two, but when my mom and dad divorced my brother’s chose to live with my Dad full time because they didn’t want to leave the high school they had started at. I chose to go with my mom. She can be a pain but I didn’t want her to be alone, so I went with.”
