    Ash meets the ass

    An hour or so passed at Grey with nothing particularly memorable happening.  I sat pretty quietly, allowing Madison to flirt outrageously with an uncomfortable looking Aiden, while he, in turn, tried everything he could to get Spencer’s attention.  Every time I tried to engage Spencer in conversation, Madison would cut me off, and so the peculiarity of our evening continued.  Spencer looked as frustrated under the circumstances as I was, which was a consolation, even if only a slight one.  I’d often catch her eye and we’d smile at each other, sharing a knowing look while we watched Madison fawn ridiculously over Aiden.  The only thing that really annoyed me was how Spencer seemed to enjoy Aiden’s attention, and the fact I was jealous about it was only testament to how I seemed to be falling pretty fast for her charms.

    After a few more minutes of hearing Madison’s giggling, I’d had enough.  I looked over to the bar and caught Kat watching me.  She smiled and returned to serving a girl who I thought I recognised as she turned to leave the bar… I’d probably slept with her in the past, and she was no doubt another of those that I had conveniently forgotten to call again.  I got up from the table and went to get another drink, hoping to be served by Kat as I was in desperate need for intelligent conversation.

    “Enjoying yourself?” she asked me as she cut in to serve me before another one of her members of staff got to me first.

    “Immensely,” I said sarcastically.  “In fact, I think this is the best evening I’ve had out in as long as I remember.”

    “That bad, huh?” she asked sympathetically.

    “Worse than you can imagine,” I sighed.

    “Well, what can I get you to drink?” she finally got round to enquiring.

    “Something ridiculously strong?”

    “I’ll see what I can find,” she winked, before disappearing down the length of the bar, checking out the collection of bottles they had on display.

    I looked back over at the table where I noticed that Madison had disappeared, meaning that Spencer and Aiden were talking – alone!  He was leaning so closely towards her that I thought he was going to fall over, and she seemed to be loving every second of his company as she didn’t stop laughing for the length of time I was staring at them.  My blood began to boil, and I was thankfully distracted from them by Kat’s return.

    3. And you acuse me of stalling, bloody poms. Sorry, that was the aussie in me coming out. I’d come throw sand, but you only have pebbles in England and it’s illegal to import sand. So instead I shall just sit down here in Oz and implore you to post post post :) It does make me happy you see.

    5. It seems to me like Glen already knows Spencer is gay and is doing the big brother thing and warning Ashley to be careful with his baby sister, but Ashley’s too busy thinking that Spencer’s straight to notice that Spencer likes her.
