    Good-Bye

    Knock, Knock, Knock!

    Huh?

    Knock,Knock,Knock!

I clmbed out of bed, looking out the window. Still dark out. Geez, Aunt Ky it’s saturday!

"Yes?" I called out. I didn’t want to get out of bed if it was somethinng i could answer without going the extra mile to the door.

"I need to talk to you."

Great. The don’t watch porn talk this early in the morning? I feel around the floor, looking for a shirt to put on. After I find one, I forget that I’m not wearing bottoms, but whatever. I’m just gonna go back to bed anyway. After I open the door, I see Aunt Ky standing there. Tears falling from her eyes.

    Shit.

"Put some clothes on sweety…your Mother passed away this morning." she told me.

    …that…bitch….

    "What? Oh my God.."

I close the door and throw on a pair of jeans.

    I didn’t even get to say good-bye…

Tears started to well up in my eyes. I felt the sobs erupt from my throat. I walk around my bed and find a pair of socks to put on. Then my shoes. I pull on my jacket with ease.

    "Ty? You ready?"

I didn’t answer her. My legs moved me out of my room and down the stairs. Aunt Ky was standing next to Aaron.

    "You alright?" he asked me.

"Yeah.fine." I reply. I didn’t know what else to say. My Mother was…dead. How could you possibly put that into words?

    "You guys ready?"

    "Yes."

We walked out of the apartment building. Aunt Ky unlocked the car doors and we all got in. The cold night air brushed against my face, which was painted only hours before…I took my ipod out of my pocket. Music always calmed me down when I was little. Mom used to sing to me all the time. She even made a special cd for me when she had to leave and work across the country. It was stupid little baby songs. Twinkle, Twinkle, ABC’s, Rock a Bye Baby, and a couple she made up herself…it was kinda dumb for me to still have it but…

I love the sound of her voice.

We traveled down the highway not really in any hurry. There was nothing to do once we got to the house. She was already..gone.
