Good-Bye
Gone. Never to return. I rmember when I was little and she’d disappear with random girls. Sometimes I would wonder if she’d ever come back. Sometimes I prayed to God she’d just stay where ever she was. And Sometimes…well, sometimes I wished she’d just die.
Damn it.
The car began to slow down. I looked out of the window and saw my house come into view. Single family home, Big yard, big dog(not even ours) and the porch. Lots of memorys on that porch. Aunt Ky parked on the side of the road. I didn’t realize it, but I walked extremely slow on my way into the house. Auny Ky and Aaron followed behind me though. Kind of making sure I didn’t pass out or something. Aunt Chelsea always told me I was as sensitive as my Mommy.
Mommy….
The tears fell freely now. And the sobs jumped out of my throat. I let them out without a care. I was hurting and it felt good to express it. Even though it was something I knew my Mom always looked down upon. She never said it out loud…but I knew she thought it was a sign of weakness. I felt a hand on my shoulder. Looking up, I saw Aiden standing in front of me. I was taller than him, so I had to look down and he had to look up.
"You okay Ty?" he asked.
I shook my head.
"Come here man."
He wrapped his arms around me and let me cry into his shoulder. I felt him hiccup a little. I pulled myself away from him and asked.
"When did she die?"
Stupid question now that I think about it. But Aunt Ky wasn’t really specific. She just said ‘this morning’ not a specific time.
"About 5 this morning. You should go in and say good-bye."
I walked away from him and went in the house. I felt big paws padding the floor behind me as I walked. Taka jumped up and licked my face and wagged his tail. I pet him on the head as he followed me into my parents room…
There were people back there. I could see them from the hallway. I saw Chelsea sitting on the chair looking up at something, Grandma was sitting down next to her, and I saw Passion standing up against the wall. Her head was bowed. For as long as I could remember, I’d never really seen Passion cry. She’d laugh nearly everything off….
