    Ashley’s side of things part two


    Her Father grabbed her arm roughly demanding her attention again.

    “If you won’t do what’s right for the company then do what’s right for Spencer.”


    ‘God please don’t let him say what I think he is.’ Ashley prayed as hard as she could.


    “It’s not easy going through life with a last name like Carlin these days.,” Her father started with that gleam he usually got right before he took over a company and fired all the hard working people who were employed there., “ It would be awful if she was to become unable to continue working at our company. Finding another job could prove difficult. Then what would happen to her dear brain dead brother. I hear it took her awhile to find a home to take him in the first place.”


    “Where are you going with this dad.” She choked out knowing exactly where he was going.


    Instead of answering her he simply reached back into his jacket pocket and pulled out another envelope. It took Ashley three times longer then it should have to open the envelope, her hands were shaking so bad. Whatever small hope she’d had was shredded. The papers were ownership papers declaring that Raife Davies was now the owner of Goodfellow Rehab Center.

    Ashley knew the place well, she often went with Spencer to visit her brother and to ease some of the pain that engulfed the blonde with every moment she spent there.


    She looked up at her Father with so much hatred she hoped it would cause him to burst into flames.


    “I think we understand each other now, don’t we?”


    Ashley threw the papers at him and opened the limo door and left throwing a “Fuck you” over her shoulder.



    Before she knew what was happening she was in her car parked outside Spencer’s apartment and according to the clock on her dash she had been there for a while.


    It took several tries before Ashley eventually got out of her car and made it into the building to Spencer’s door. She collapsed against it crying and exhausted.


    ‘I can’t do this. I need her.’ But if she didn’t Spencer’s life would be ruined and she would be sure to blame her. Somewhere deep inside she knew that that was fucked up logic, but she was scared. Scared of her father, of what her father could do, but most of all she was scared of Spencer. Of how Spencer might resent her later when things fell apart, of how badly it would hurt Ashley when Spencer realized she wasn’t worth losing everything over.

    3. that bastard! okay, i totally wanted to leave a comment on that last chappie, unfortunately it wouldn’t let me for some reason. i’m glad we’re getting ashley’s side of the story tho. i mean, it still sucks, and i wish she stood up to him, but at the same time i understand her fears. i hope they can overcome this!

    4. Well that was extremely heart breaking. I understand Ashley now because she had almost no choice, but she needs to tell Spencer about it. This was a great update. PMS!
