Before I can answer one of the patient alarms on her desk started to go off. She runs to a patients room and then screams, “Dr. Carlin we need you. He’s arresting.”
I run in to the room and say, “Where the hell in your attendant and resident?”
“Evans is in surgery and Baxter went down to the E.R.” Melissa says as she does CPR on the patient.
One look at him and I freeze. A million thoughts begin running through my mind. It’s that bastard and he’s going into cardiac arrest. How the hell am I supposed to save him? He almost killed her. Fuck, fuck, fuck. Carlin get a grip. You took an oath remember and you promised to always follow it no matter what. Never mind that isn’t good enough of a reason to help save him. Ashley, think about her. You know damn well she won’t forgive you if you don’t help him. So just do it.
Melissa snaps me out of my thoughts when she yells, “Dr. do something.”
I just shove her away from him and continue the CPR and snap, “Go get some adrenaline, the paddles, a couple of more nurses and a surgical tray. We might have to open him because he may be bleeding out again. Go now.”
She doesn’t answer but runs down the hall yelling for the other nurses as I continue the CPR while growling, “Come on, come on, damn it.”.
In a flash Melissa was back in a flash with three nurses in toe and with everything I had asked for. I bark out, “Get the paddles ready, now.”
A minute later I hear one of them say, “Ready.”
I grab them and bark out, “Give me 100”
As soon as I hear, “Ready,” I scream, “Clear,” and shock him. I then watch the heart monitor for any change but it’s still flat lined.
Damn, it’s not working. I then yell, “Give me the adrenaline.” As soon as I have it handed to me I inject it right into his heart and yell again, “Paddles and charge to 200.”
Again as soon as I hear, “Ready,” I scream, “Clear” and shock him again. I shock him three times at that voltage but got nothing. Just as I was getting ready to shock him at 300 a woman comes in screaming, “What are you doing to him?!! What are you doing?!! My baby!!”

Amazing update. I’m so glad Aiden is dead and Aiden’s Mom has her issues by trying to kill Ashley. Poor Ash. I love this story. PMASAP.

Aiden’s gone, would it be heartless of me to say I’m relieved and somewhat happy about that? I hope Aiden’s mom doesn’t try to come back for Ash, but she probably will since she seems to be crazy like her son. The ending was so sweet, and I love that movie Imagine You & Me. Back to the topic, I hope Ash doesn’t become depressed over Aiden’s death, that’d be a whole nother problem and Spashley doesn’t need anymore problems. But…problems equal entertainment, so do what you will, it’s your story and I’m loving it. As usual, another amazing update. Continue with the great work, PMASAP!!!!!!!!!
