"What do you think?" 

"It’s pink."  She scrunches up her face like she is sucking on a lime.

"No, it’s…pink.  Fine you pick one."  She reaches for one and shows it to me,

"How about this one?"  Dammit she had to pick one I liked.  I was trying to show her up.

"I really like it."  I give in. 

"Well you will have to change your bed sheets as well."

"That’s fine, my dad gave me plenty of money."  She nods and takes the sample to be mixed.  After getting the  paint we get a few more things like shutters and some new trim.  I pay and Lee loads up the car and then me.  We then head to Target to get the rest.  We get new bed sheets that do not have any flowers on them because Lee faked throwing up when I showed her ones that did.  I got new lamps and a bunch of other cool stuff.  It was getting around lunch time so we decided to get something to eat.  We get to a restaurant and Lee moves a chair so I could get settled in.  As she sits we start to talk,

"You haven’t noticed."  What is she talking about?

"Noticed what?"  I say curiously

"People looking at you."  I realize what she is talking about and she is right, I haven’t noticed.  Was it because I didn’t care or was it because I was with Lee.

"I am noticing that women glaring at us over there."  She points over my shoulder and I turn around to see who she is talking about.  Once I see I whip my head back around,

"Shit, that’s my mother."  Please don’t let her come over here, please don’t let he…

"Spencer what are you doing here.  You shouldn’t be out of the house and who is this."  Dammit why couldn’t she just stay over there?

"I am getting lunch, I needed some things for my room, and this is my friend Lee."  I answer all her questions.

"Whatever, is she a new conquest for you?"  She leans down and growls in my ear, "I will not have you make a fool of me.  It was bad enough that you had to roll your ass in here, but now you flaunt you sickness in my face!"  I could feel the tears pooling in my eyes as I cower before her.
