Symptoms of Love – (Chapter: 4)
Ashley pulled up into the driveway smiling at the sight of Spencer through the glass. Every time she saw her, her insides fell apart. She often wondered how Spencer was able to do this when no other girl could. Hopping out of the car to greet Spencer and her mother, “Hey, Mrs. C”, she kindly waved.
Paula smiled at her new nickname, “Hey Ashley. I like that ’Mrs. C’. Makes me sound cool”
Laughing, “Oh I know deep down there is some coolness in you Mrs. C,” Ashley chuckled. Spencer was shaking her head knowing exactly to what Ashley was referring.
Ashley walked up to hug Spencer. A bit surprised at her forwardness, she wrapped her arms around her shoulders while Ashley’s arms were around her waist. The embrace was warm and long. Their bodies were close and their thighs were touching. It was a fully body hug. Spencer could feel herself melting at her touch. She nearly closed her eyes and buried her head in her shoulder to take it all in when Ashley whispered, “Mmm..good to see you”, in her ear.
Pulling back remembering that her mother was still standing there, “You ready to go Ashley.”
Paula interjected uncomfortable with their affection, “So where are you taking my daughter this morning?”
Ashley tried to ignore the thoughts in her head that answered ‘straight to my bedroom’. Working hard to suppress her need, “Umm… just the usual sight seeing…and then maybe the beach…”
Paula tilted her head, “The beach? You two make sure you make it to school today,” moving her hands to her hips looking very motherly.
“Don’t worry mom. We will. Yeah, let’s go.”
Spencer open the passenger door to get in, “Ashley, what’s this?” she said smiling ear to ear.
“Oh, just a little something to say umm… ‘I’m glad that we met’”
Spencer picked up the single pink rose from the seat and smelled its sweetness, ‘Awww….I love it…who would have known that you were sweet too?” Spencer thought that the rose was so adorable. It was perfect for what they were right now. She crawled into her seat and leaned to give her little rose bearer a quick kiss on her cheek, “Thank you, Ashley. I’m glad we met, too. I’ve already had so much fun just talking to you.”
