They headed off to their first period classes and explained why they were late. The day was usual. It was full of subtle flirting, stolen kisses and touches, and lingering looks.

Glen walked over to the two girls who were sitting closely at a table in the quad. He put on his ‘happy go lucky’ face and sat down.

   "Hey baby sis."
   "Umm, Hi Glen. Why are you sitting here?"
   "Cant a big bro bond with his little sister."
   "Umm not when he acted like a total dick the day before, and not if his name is Glen Carlin."
   "I’m sorry about that. Its just hard to get used to. And I dont want you to go through all of that pain again." Glen said with a hidden smirk.
   "Whatever glen." Spencer stood up and looked at Ashley. "I’m going to go get something to drink. I’ll be right back."
   "I’ll be here." Ashley said with a smile. Spencer left Glen and Ashley alone at the table. Glen watched Spencer until she was out of earshot. He looked back at Ashley with an angered face
   "Look, dyke, stay the fuck away from my little sister. She doesnt need this, she doesnt need you. All you will do is cause her pain, you will just turn everyone against her. She isnt one of you."
   "Well arent you a loving big brother. Arent you supposed to be there for her no matter what? Even when everyone turns against her? When she feels as if there isnt nothing good in life, arent you supposed to be her shoulder to cry on? Yeah, you are! But, you know what? You arent! Someone has to be. And I am! I will always be there for her! I wont leave her side, and I wont ever hate her for who she is! I’m not keeping her with me, its totally her choice. It’s not like I chained her to my sides, She can leave if she wants. But she doesnt want it. Why cant you just love her Glen?" Ashley stood up and was shaking with anger.
   "I DO love her! You dont even know her! You dont know who she is!" Glen stormed off and a confused Spencer walked up. She sat down and Ashley sat next to her.
   "What was that?"
   "Nothing, nothing at all." Ashley said while gently rubbing Spencer’s leg. Spencer just shrugged it off. She took a sip of her Diet Dr. Pepper and offered Ashley some. Ashley accepted it.
   "Not to be rude, but why in the hell are you drinking diet?"
   "I dont know. It couldnt hurt to lose weight I guess."
   "Spencer, youre body is perfect! You dont in anyway need to lose weight. Trust me."
   "Okay, this is my last diet drink. I mean if my girlfriend thinks my body is perfect than why would I care what everyone else thinks of it."
   "Exactly,"

The bell rang and they had to head off to their next class.
   "Come on lets go." Spencer said while offering her arm to Ashley
   "Lead the way, beautiful."
