The Slayer Chronicles: Episode 2
“Because my master told me to,” the girl whispered as her forehead suddenly developed the distinct ridges of a vampire. Bearing her now deadly teeth, the girl reached out and grabbed Kennedy’s arms and twisted until she released her grip on the vampire. “You may not have wanted me… but the master did!” Kennedy didn’t have time to ask any other questions before she found herself flying through the air and slamming into the dumpster she had so easily avoided just minutes earlier. She quickly got to her feet and reached into her jacket for the stake that was always there. “Master wants to know where you are at all times,” the vampire said licking her lips.
“Oh really? And just who is this master of yours?” Kennedy questioned as she slowly approached the Slayer-turned-vampire.
“You’ll see soon enough…” the vampire responded a split second before she jumped at Kennedy. The Slayer reacted quickly, but not quick enough. She felt a quick punch to her face just before she was thrown into one of the walls that lined the alley. Laughing, the vampire continued down the alley and out of sight before the Slayer could get to her feet. Kennedy slowly rose and wiped a trail of blood from her lip. ‘This can’t be good…’ she thought as she made her way back to the car and an already waiting Willow.
“Where were you? What happened?” Willow questioned when she saw Kennedy appear from the alley. She quickly ran to her lover’s side. “You’re bleeding…what happened?” she questioned again full of worry.
“We need to call Giles… maybe even Buffy and Faith.” Kennedy said looking at Willow with concern written all over her face. “We’ve got a problem.”
Investigating
”Hello? Giles? You still there?” Kennedy questioned into the phone.
“Yes… yes… sorry… and you’re sure it was Rebecca? The girl from two weeks ago?”
“I’m positive. I looked right at her face… there’s no doubt. And she said something about how we didn’t want her but her master did. Any ideas?”
“No… none at all. I’ll have to admit that I’m a bit a concerned… do you think there’s a possibility that some of the other girls may have met the same fate?”
