“But the Cullens!” Paul reminded, growling lowly. He didn't like the vampires, and he didn't care for the girl that had gone to the leeches either. Personally, he'd rather stay far away from them.

Sam glared at him, and he backed down reluctantly.

“Technically, Bella isn't Cullens property,” Sam reminded them. “We're only going to see if she knows what's going on, not to use her as bait.”

Jacob flinched again, but he nodded his consent when he saw everyone else agreeing the idea had its merits. He didn't want to be anywhere near Bella, not when that bastard was blinding her to the true nature of vampires, but maybe he could manage to talk her around. Maybe, if she saw how hard he worked to get rid of this menace, whatever it was, before anything bad happened, she would open her eyes to the wolves and see what a great match he was for her.

“It's decided then,” Sam said, standing. The others stood as well. “We're going to pay a visit to Isabella Swan.”

Alice and Jasper stood at Bella's door. Behind them were Emmet, Rosalie, Carlisle, and Esme. Edward, she already knew, was inside, trying to work up the courage (and failing horribly) to confront Bella about her recent behavior. Today, or rather tonight, was decided the best time to approach her with their questions. Everyone wanted answers, but Alice especially. She had really been looking forward to having Bella as her sister!

The door opened to reveal Bella, her eyes lowered and the scent of sorrow hanging thickly around her. Alice was quick to wrap the girl in a hug, wondering what could've happened. She hadn't had any visions of her brother being a jerk to Bella, so she was sure it didn't have anything to do with Edward.

“Bella, what's wrong?” Alice asked as Jasper tried (and failed) to calm her sorrow. Bella smiled, albeit forcefully, and stepped aside to allow the Cullens entrance.

“What do you mean?” Bella asked when the door closed behind her. Alice raised a single brow. Bella knew exactly what they were talking about, and they knew it too. The auburn-haired girl sighed and hung her head, silently cursing her bad luck.

Time was getting shorter, and she only had two weeks left of the designated time to tell the Cullens and the Quilete pack what was going on. She didn't know how to start out her explanation though, and more importantly, she didn't want to start it off. She was, quite frankly, scared of their reactions, and now that the time had finally come to reveal the truth to one group of possible allies, she was downright frightened.
