Bella hissed softly at the fallen bastard. This must be a Tarnished. He didn't have the look of a Tainted, but he obviously wasn't human. Holding up a hand to indicate Alanna shouldn't step closer, Bella took the task upon herself, all too aware of the possibility of a trap.

Her heels clicked against the cement floor of the silent warehouse. Why did these creatures have to choose such lousy places to fight? At least the place appeared deserted and most likely had been for quite some time now.

“Bella…” Alanna trailed off, her voice holding a clear warning. Bella didn't need for her to continue to know what she was thinking. It was written plainly on her face.

Edward wouldn't like her approaching the enemy…Neither would Jacob for that matter, or Tenzie, or Vincent, or anyone else really. Damn it, did everyone have to be so overprotective of her? She was a halfa now, not utterly useless and weak like before! Why couldn't they understand that?

“It's fine,” she mumbled distractedly. In all honesty, she didn't know if it would be fine. The creature worked with a Tainted to bring her down, so the Tarnisheds couldn't be much worse than the soulless vampire, right?

The creature, as though hearing her thoughts, snapped his eyes opened. Bella gasped and stepped back, shocked by the red eyes that greeted her. It wasn't burgundy eyes like vampires usually had, but a bright red that even covered the sclera! If nothing else, the sheer evilness of that gaze gave Bella the chills.

He jumped up and kicked out, sending her careening into the back wall. Before she could stand up, he was there, punching and kicking her. Bella could feel her lunch coming back up. Frasier ran at him, but the man dodged his attack, doing a spin kick that sent Frasier sailing into the wall. He turned his attention back to Bella, a cruel smile sliding onto his face.

“Can't we talk about this?” Bella asked nervously. She jumped onto a high up pole, glaring down at the wolf when he swung another fist at her and crushed an entire table. “I'll take that as a no.”

Eyes flashing, she jumped down and kicked out at him. The Tarnished sailed through the air, destroying another table when he landed. Almost immediately, he climbed to his feet again and Bella snorted. She was ready this time.
