    Twilight Runway

Disclaimer: I donot own Twilight. You would know if I did. Jacob would have ended up with Edward…so No copyright infringement intended.

This chapter would have been a major hassle if my Beta, shabbyapple, from Twilighted, didnt help me out!

    CHAPTER 3: Forced Plans.

    Bella.

“But Alice,” I moaned exhaustedly into the phone, “I don’t want to!”

“Please, Bella… please… for me?” She begged from the other line. I moaned again. There was no way I could win against Alice when she asked like that! I felt like a mother depriving her first child of anything!

“You’ll be the death of me one day,” I snapped over the phone, resigned. She immediately took that comment as a sign of defeat and began to squeal. I could hear the springs of her mattress squeak uncontrollably from what was– most likely– the force of her jumping on the bed in excitement.

“Thank you, Bella,” she chirped. She was so loud that I had to pull the receiver from my ear, “I’ll definitely make this up to you.”

In that moment, panic replaced my previous feelings of annoyance.

“Oh no you wont,” I warned her. Alice’s idea of “making it up to me” always resulted in me being miserable, “I agreed, so just leave it at that!”

I could almost see her rolling her eyes.

“Wear something appropriate for fine dining,” she reminded me sternly. At least she was letting me dress myself this time, “and don’t forget to bring a date.”

I froze at her words. Of course she wouldn’t leave it at just that.

“W-wait! You never said anything about that!” I gasped, tightening my hold on the phone, “You know perfectly well that I have Jacob!”

“Come on, Bells!,” She pleaded, “It’s not as if you guys are really going out now. Plus, he’s not ever here!” When I started to interrupt she continued, “The guy you bring doesn’t even have to be a real date. Just a guy-friend.”

I nearly growled, “Now, Alice! You know that I don’t have anyone like tha–!”

“Don’t let me down, okay?” She interrupted, before hanging up.

I stared at the phone in silence, until it stared to beep from being off the hook for too long.

I groaned. I should have expected that.
