    Untitled – (Chapter: Chapter Sixteen)

Awhile later, Spencer and Ashley were sitting on the living room couch watching television.  They had a blanket around their shoulders to keep them warm.  “So how’s being back in Ohio, Spence?” Ashley asked with curiosity.  Has anything changed here?

“It’s been really great since we’re together, but nothing much has changed here,” answered Spencer.  It’s almost like I never left here to begin with.  The only difference is that you’re here.  How do you like Ohio so far?

“It’s been cold since I’m not used to the weather here,” Ashley pointed out with a laugh.  I’m still cold from when I kept falling on the ice.  Spencer chuckled and Ashley added, “It’s not funny.”

“I kind figured that,” stated Spencer.  You’re still shivering with a blanket on and me being next to you. I know you’re used to the warm climate, but not everywhere is like LA to begin with.  It would make things easier to have the same type of weather wherever you go, but it’s also boring as well.  There will be no snow days though.  Why would you want the climate to be warm all the time?

“I don’t know,” Ashley admitted.  You have a good point though.  Every now and then there are snow days in LA.

“When don’t I make a good point?” said Spencer.  Ashley playfully nudged Spencer on her shoulder.  Spencer nudged Ashley back.

“Other than that, it’s been really great here,” Ashley explained.  I have loved every moment that we have spent together and not just in Ohio.  So when do I get to meet your relatives?

“I love every moment that we spend together, too,” responded Spencer.  My relatives are always working so this weekend, most likely.  Spencer noticed that Ashley was still shivering and asked, “Do you want me to help warm you up?”

“I’d like that,” Ashley stated with a smile.  Spencer wrapped her arms around Ashley in a hug and Ashley added, “Thanks.  It helps me to stay warm.”  Spencer smiled and Ashley returned the smile.

“No problem,” smiled Spencer.  To help you, I’ll make the cocoa that you wanted to drink earlier while we were on the skating rink.  Spencer kissed Ashley sweetly on her lips.  Ashley smiled and intensified the kiss.  Spencer stopped the kiss and said, “I’ll be back in a few minutes to keep us warmed up.”

“Kay,” Ashley responded.  Spencer stood up and went to the kitchen.

A few minutes later, Spencer brought two cups of cocoa in the living room for her and Ashley to drink.  “Here you go,” Spencer said as handed Ashley a cup.  Enjoy, Ash.

“Thank you,” replied Ashley as she took a sip of the cocoa.  Ashley felt like her throat on fire since she took the sip more quickly.  She was making a face.

“Do you not like the cocoa?” Spencer questioned with concern.

“Yeah, but it’s hot as hell,” responded Ashley as she recovered her voice.  Ashley began to blow on the cocoa and took another sip and added, “Alright, the second sip does the trick for me.”  Ashley continued to drink the cocoa.

“Yeah, you have to wait for the cocoa to cool off for a few minutes and if that doesn’t work you blow on the cocoa,” Spencer explained.

“I know how to drink cocoa, Spence,” protested Ashley.

“If you say so,” Spencer responded with a chuckle.  Ashley didn’t look amused at Spencer’s joke and Spencer added, “I was just messing with you.  You know that, right?”  Spencer sat down next to Ashley and put her arm around Ashley’s shoulder.

“I know,” stated Ashley.  I love that you have a sense of humor, but then again I love everything about you.  Ashley put the blanket over them.  Spencer rested her head on Ashley’s shoulder and Ashley smiled.

    “Likewise,” Spencer agreed.
