“Ok. Bye baby.” She winked and went. I sighed and turned around to see a shocked James. “So-”

“You’re gay?”

“I’m gay. If you don’t want you boy coming here I und-”

“No, no. I may be catholic but my wife taught me to be very open minded. It’s just a waste to the male community.” He laughed.

“I think I like your wife already.” I smirked. He could tell I was joking, sort of.

“Yeah.” He laughed. He looked at his watch; I thought maybe it was a get-away. “Damn. Look I’ve got to go. It was nice chatting with you Miss….”

I could tell he genuinely had to go. “Davies. Ashley Davies. It was nice talking to you also James…”

“Harper. Well I’ll see you Monday, Madison is picking Kieran up.”

“Ok. Bye James Harper.” He isn’t that bad.

5:45 and James still isn’t back. I swear to god if I have to take Kieran myself I am going to kill him. My phone rang, ‘James’, well it’s about time. “Yeah?”

“Hey baby, sorry meeting ran late.” Sure it did. “I’ll be 10 minutes.”

“Kieran is going to be late.”

“I’ll make it up to him. I have to go back into work after I drop him off though.”

“Fine. I’ll see you in a minute.” I slammed my phone shut. I’d finally had enough. I looked through the phone book. ‘Woods Divorce Agency’, hey it’s not too far from here, open until 10pm.

I dialled up the number. “Hello Woods Divorce Agency, Trish speaking how may I help?”

“I was wandering if there were open appointments.”

“Yes there are, what time?”

“Now?” I asked warily.

“Ok, can I just put you on hold for a couple of minutes?”

“Sure. No problem.” Then those cheesy ‘on-hold’ songs started playing through the line. In less than two minutes ‘Trish’ was back on the phone asking if I could come in at 6:15. “Yeah that’s perfect. Thank you.”

I got there. 6:10. I went up to the secretary who I am assuming is ‘Trish’. “Hey Spencer Carlin, I phoned earlier.”
