    Mediation was a safe haven for all; confident, professional and criticism free. The problematic situation would arise when people neglected to go through mediation, the troubled kids.

     

    “You were that caught up in the book that you didn’t hear me?” Ashley asked confused

     

    Spencer doesn’t reply, just looks at her.

     

    “What are you reading?” the brunette asks a little more curiously now

     

    “Just a book” Spencer replies trying to put it back in her bag quickly

     

    “I could see that…what book?”

     

    Spencer didn’t reply

     

    “okayyyyy” Ashley said looking around the room as if conversation was going to pop out of thing air

     

    “I’m here becomes James said I had to be…gotta do 15 hours” Spencer replied

     

    Ashley attention went back to the blonde as she realized what she was referring to.

     

    The brunette just nodded her head.

     

    “10 minutes and counting” Spencer replied with a smirk

     

    “Why won’t you tell me what book you’re reading?” the brunette asked obviously not letting it go

     

    “Why does it matter to you?” Spencer asked leaning back in her chair

     

    Ashley shrugged her shoulders

     

    “Wuthering Heights” The blonde responded

     

    “Oh, do you have to read it for one of your classes?” she asked

     

    She was doing what Miss James suggested, asking simple questions that maybe could lead to something else.

     

    “No” the blonde replied simply, making Ashley question further

     

    “uh”

     

    “I’m reading it because I want to”

     

    “Oh” Ashley replied looking down

     

    One thing that the brunette couldn’t comprehend was reading for fun, what was the point?

     

    “Did you want to talk about my hair too? You can’t stop staring at it”

     

    Ashley hadn’t even noticed that she was blatantly staring at the girls hair, she didn’t know many people with colored streaks in their hair. Spencer had chosen bright blue to scatter throughout her bright blonde hair.

     

    “No, sorry”

     

    Ashley focused her attention back down to her hands, she noticed that they were shaking violently.

     

    “Why don’t you tell me about yourself so maybe I’m not that nervous” Spencer spoke up

     

    Ashley’s attention went back to the blonde, could she be as nervous as the brunette?

     

    “You already know who I am”

     

    Spencer shrugged, “Pretend I don’t”

     

    The brunette sighed “I’m Ashley Davies, I’m a junior like you, I’m part of the…”

    6. When I was reading this I was like -I know this story, well kind of, the book, what was it called?- I loved the book so I know I’m going to love this. Thank you SoNFANFOREVER for reminding me of the title. It’s been a few years since I read it so I had forgotten.
