Shane: Have you two talked long term?

Tina: No, but between you and me I plan to move to New York. She is doing great there and I can find something there. I’ve already broached the topic with Helena, but Bette and I haven’t talked about it yet. We’ve covered a lot of ground in just four months. I never expected us to be back as full partners and wearing our rings already; but I love it. I think we still have some things to sort out but she is my future ad New York is her present.

Tina’s phone goes off indicating a text.

Bette: Love you baby we are about to take off. Sleep well and I’ll do the same on the flight. I’ll meet you in my dreams and really give you that kiss…lol

Tina: That was Bette, they are about to take off.

Shane: I should do the same. Not a peep out of PJ, but I took some liberties with the fridge, thanks.

Tina; Thank you Shane, you’re always there for us, thank you so much. We all really love you.

Shane: No problem T. Let me know if you want to do our airport run in a couple of weeks.

Tina: Actually, that would be great, thanks.

Shane: Sure, night.

Tina: Night Shane.

Tina heads to her big bed all alone. She inhales Bette’s scent from the pillow and smiles. Though she misses her at the moment she wasn’t sure she’d ever have that scent in this bed again. She does indeed dream of Bette and has a fantastic night of rest. She wakes early before the baby and takes her shower. She sets up her laptop on the kitchen table in hopes of using the webcam with Bette after getting the baby ready. The baby stirs right on cue and she starts their morning routine.

Angelica: Momma?

She toddles to their bedroom and Tina almost loses it realizing the separation would have a toll on Angelica. She wonders if she shouldn’t leave the baby with Bette again between their two trips. She’d discuss that with Bette later this week after she’s had a chance to see how Angelica does with the distance. Tina decides to text Bette.

Tina: Morning baby boot up the laptop we’re coming via web cam.

Tina: Come eat sweet pea Mommy has a surprise for you.

Tina sets Angelica in her high chair and begins to feed her the oatmeal. Bette’s message comes across and Tina is delighted.

Bette: Hey how are my two favorite girls this morning.

Angelica: Momma! Momma!

Bette: Yes I’m here baby are you being a good girl? I see you are having a good breakfast with Mommy.

Tina: Morning baby, everything go OK last night?

Bette: Easy as pie home quickly too. I’ll have to keep that flight in mind. You look great T, busy day ahead?

Tina: Well first day of the new work year shouldn’t be so bad. How about for you?

Bette: I’m going to bed when we are done. I’ll hit the gym mid afternoon, and then come home for dinner and get to bed early. Tomorrow will be soon enough for work. Hopefully I’ll feel like going to the gym in the morning again. If not I’ll go Wednesday morning.

Tina: Do me a favor, take it easy tomorrow morning and wait to go back to the gym on Wednesday, OK?

Bette: Yea, I can do that baby.

Tina: Thank you. Baby, do you want to tell Momma something?

Angelica: Lob you.

Bette: Aw, I love you too baby.

Tina: Call us before you head to bed.

Bette: I will. Love you both.

Tina: We love you more.

With that the next phase of their relationship had officially begun: Long distance love.
