    A kiss, then a kiss, breakfast and in the end another kiss.

    Yeah I know, but what I also know, is that you cant choose who to fall in love with. Tina says and then realizes what she just said. Bette looks up at Tina surprised.

    Did you say love? Bette asks quietly. Tina opens her mouth as to say something but she cant get a sound out. She gets it together and then speaks,

    Yes, I did say love. Tina says and glances nervously over at Bette who looks down at her hands who is shaking.

    Even if Im not a golfer any longer, Im still a public person and I dont think Im strong enough to Bette says but is cut off by Tina.

    Bette, you dont have to say anything, I understand. Tina says a little disappointed but she doesnt show that.

    No, Tina, I like you, I like you a lot, and that kiss last night, it was amazing. What Im saying is that I need time. Bette says and looks over at Tina who smiles a little.

    You can take all the time you need. Tina says and places her hand on Bettes.

    You would wait? Bette asks a little surprised.

    Yeah I would, because when you kissed me last night, I felt something that I have never felt before. Tina says.

    Yeah, I felt it too. Bette says and smiles. Can I ask you a question? Bette asks.

    Sure. Tina replies.

    What did your parents say when you came out? Bette asks curiously.

    They threw me out. I havent spoken to them in 5 years. Tina says her voice turns a little sad.

    Im sorry. Bette says.

    Its okay, I dont need them, I have my friends. Tina says.

    Yeah but still, you must think about them? Bette asks.

    Yeah, I do. I have a brother who is three years older than me and a sister who is 5 years younger than me. I miss them. And that is what hurts the most, that they havent made contact. Tina says as a single tear falls down her cheek, she quickly wipes it away.

    Im sorry, Tina. Bette says.

    Right then they turned into the parking lot of the Country Club.

    Well here we are. Tina says and again wipes her eyes.

    Thank you again for driving me. Bette says and looks into Tinas eyes.

    Youre welcome. Tina says with a smile.

    Could I kiss you again? Bette asks softly.

    You dont have to ask me every time you want to kiss me. Tina replies with a loving smile.

    Oh, good to know. Bette says and grins at Tina, then leans in for a soft kiss. Tina kisses back, then breaks away.

    Ill call you later, and again thanks for the ride. Bette says and then jumps out of the car and walk towards the main entrance.

    Tina watches Bette all the way till shes inside and then drives off towards home.

    21. This is such a great story…it’s irresistable! I love the way Bette asks before she kisses Tina is so cute! I hope Bette doesn’t get scared off after hearing Tina’s own story on her coming out affected her relationship w/her family…esp. since she’s meeting up w/her Mom at the club.
