“Hey Al. I’d like you to meet Jamie Chen the Director of the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Community Center. Jaime I think you already know Alice Pieszecki.”

“Ms. Pieszecki it’s such an honor to meet you. I’m a huge fan. I can’t tell you how grateful we are that you’ve agreed to work with us on this project. The donated media coverage is so generous. I just don’t know how to thank you.”

“Well you can start by calling me Alice. It’s great to meet you Jamie. I admire the work that you do with the youth in the community so it’s my honor to be a part of this event. Here’s my card and please feel free to call on me if I can help out in any way.”

“Thank you Alice. I’m going to take you up on that offer. Here is my contact information as well. My personal cell phone number is on the back.” Jamie hands over her business card.

“Thank you. Please do call me. So what are you guys planning today?” Alice asked.

“Well I wanted Jamie to see the venue. Kit just gave us a tour and Jamie agrees that the Planet will be perfect for what we have in mind.” Tina says as she bring Alice up to speed on what has already been discussed. “Kit has generously offered us the space at no charge and she is going to contact some of her musician friends to see if they will agree to perform.”

“Yes and my chef Lara Perkins has promised to get some of her pals that are in the catering business to help supply the food and beverages.” Kit chimes in before Tina continues.

“We need a DJ and someone to run the Casino games. We also need a Master/Mistress of Ceremony to do the live auctions and to announce the dance contests and things like that. We were thinking about maybe making it a 70’s Disco Theme Party so everyone dresses up in period attire. What do you think of that?

“That would be so cool. You should do it. We can decorate with disco lights and wear polyester bell bottom pants and platform shoes. Be there or be square!” Alice immediately warms up to the idea.
