”What?”
Dani shrugs. ”Nobody knew you had a girlfriend….”
Tina chuckles. ”That’s what you’re upset about?”
”Yeah, and I would appreciate it if you wouldn’t laugh at me…”
Tina’s smile drops. ”I’m sorry, but honey, the only reason I haven’t said anything about you is that I haven’t really had deep conversations with the gang yet…” she says as she walks into her closet and hangs up her dress.
”How deep do you have to get to casually mention that you have a girlfriend…”
Tina puts her hands on her hips, wearing only a bra and panties. ”You’re only going to be here for a few days. Do you really wanna spend them fighting?”
Dani sighs. ”No, I don’t… I just have one more thing to say…”
Tina raises her brows, waiting for Dani to continue.
”Why the hell is your ex so tall? It’s annoying as hell….”
Tina smirks, refusing to allow herself to think about Bette’s outfit tonight. ”Are you done?”
Dani smiles as her eyes roam Tina’s body. ”I am…”
Good….” Tina says as she strolls over to Dani……

The Planet…
A few mornings later, Michelle is enjoying her coffee and going over her lesson plan when she notices Tina walk over and sit at the table with Alice. She glares at the back of Tina’s head but forces herself to look away. ”Just ignore her…she’s not even here…” she mumbles as she returns to her iPad.
A few beats later, Michelle cringes when she hears Tina’s laugh. She closes her eyes and then opens them and glares at Tina again.
Table…
Tina laughs at Alice again as she shakes her head. ”Dani is not butch Alice….”
”Well, compared to what I thought your type was, I mean…she’s pretty butch…”
”So, you’re going with the stereotypical notion that if a lesbian has a short haircut, she’s butch?”
Alice shrugs. ”I am not; I just—” She stops talking when she sees the look on Michelle’s face as she marches toward the table. ”Um, hi Chelly—”
Michelle ignores Alice. She pulls out a chair and sits down in the chair right next to Tina.
Tina slowly puts her coffee down and eyes the woman from head to toe as she silently wonders why Bette’s wife is invading her personal space.
Michelle looks at Tina with her usual disdain. ”Listen, I know everyone seems to be giving you a pass, but I’m not…. because you don’t deserve it. What you did was fucked up and cruel, and you should be ashamed of yourself…… I know we’ll have to have limited interaction, but let’s not do the fake cordial thing… I don’t like you, Tina. I probably never will, but I just really wanted to let you know that I see you for the cruel, manipulative person you truly are….”
Kit tentatively walks over and refills Alice’s coffee.
Tina takes a deep breath before she addresses Michelle. ”First of all, you need to give me some space…”
Michelle and Tina hold intense eye contact while Michelle forcefully pushes her chair back.
A few beats tick past before Tina licks her lips and speaks again. ”I know what I did, Michelle, trust me I do…. but I’m working on rectifying my mistakes, and I’ve apologized to everyone I actually owe an apology to. I just committed your name to memory about three days ago, so you’re most certainly not one of them… I can tell you one thing for an absolute fact, and I want you to commit this to memory… I don’t give a fuck, and I mean not one iota of a fuck that you don’t like me…”
Once again, the two women sit with an intense glare for a few long beats before Michelle stands up and storms away.
Tina rolls her eyes and stands up. ”I gotta go…. see you guys later….”
Alice and Kit watch Tina walk away.
”I’m pretty sure we just witnessed the first of many tumultuous encounters, Kit…”
Kit sighs. ”I hope my baby sister is prepared…” she says before walking away.
Alice shakes her head as she opens her laptop. ”Drama, drama, drama…”

Thanks for posting this story again. I am enjoying rereading it, I am remembering how much I dislike Michelle. Just waiting for some sign from Bette that she still finds Tina attractive. I forgot how far into the story that takes place. We already know Tina is realizing she still has feelings. Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving if you celebrate it.

Dani is very annoying and the confrontations between Tina and Michelle are very funny .
I like that Bette and Tina don’t fight and that, even a little bit, the magic that always surrounds them is peeking out
I can’t wait to read more ❤️
Oh these insecure gals! They can just feel the pull Bette and Tina have for each other. Don’t mess with Tina, Michelle. Putting people feeling ‘high and mighty’ in their place is a walk in the park for her.

Hey guys, I see this story has totally different approach and I like it a lot (read the first 2 chapters).
So, how long the original story was? I’d like to wait a little more so I can “binge” reading :)
Oh my…. Michelle? What Tina did to Bette and what Bette did to Tina is none of your damn buisness. Your role is to support Bette and be a good partner to Bette and a good mother to Mickey and to those people you call friends. Bette is the other mother to Angie so you best decide that you are going to adjust to that situation or you best figure out how you are going live without Bette. Bette is bonded to Angie and to Mickey. And having a relationship with Angie means a relationship with Tina. Make it work Michelle or perhaps you need to explore other alternatives knowing that Bette will not be your spouse. She will just be a co-parent with you for Mickey and Tina for Angie.
Dani? What was Tina suppose to do? She only been in LA for about a week. She sees these people for about an hour and they are suppose to be completely up to date on 6 years of absence? And what is this deal about Bette being tall? She has as much control over the fact she is tall as you do over you being short. Well… that relationship is not going to last long. Long distance…. not secure in your own physical being and your girl friend has yet to post your picture and your relationship with her on social media yet. Gees…. maybe Tina and Bette should introduce you to Michelle? Maybe you two have something in common?
What a chapter…. thanks… cannot wait for the next one. Entertaining story.
Dani’s angst about Bette being “tall” had to do w/ ” well not only is she make-your-heart skip a beat GORGEOUS, she’s tall and sexy too . . . how am I suppose to compete with that???!!!
Dani’s perception that she is “competing” with Bette for Tina’s attention says that she in not very secure in her relationship with Tina.
Right.
But I wonder if Michelle has sensed that Bette’s soul has yet to be “fully” open to her.
She must have some idea of how much Tina mattered to Bette. And how much the loss of their unborn son meant to them.
We all know how proficient Bette has been at “wall building” around her heart. Though admittedly becoming a Mom has helped her in allowing emotions/tears to be seen
This is one of my favourite story.

The dyamics btwn Michelle & Dani will be interesting in that they know their partners have a “past” ‘ship . . . but I dont think they perceive how connected Tibette’s souls communicated when physical.
I think Angie will have a PROFOUND affect on her Moms ad their current partnersas she innocently speaks from a pure heart. For example:
Mommy you always smile when I talk about “B” . . .does she make U happy?

I thankfully found your NEW/REDO of Home Again! This one is a very different approach, with a lot more push back from Bette and the Gang! I really dislike Michelle and INSECURE Dani in both stories. Michelle has got some nerves to step to Tina like she did. Glad Tina put her in check…I GIVE ZERO FVCKS ABOUT HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT ME!!! And that lil insecure Dani, took ONE LOOK at the Gorgeous and TALL Bette Porter and lost her shyt! HAHAHAHA
Angie LOVES her MAMA B already! She felt a Connection Instantly it Seemed.
