A few extra scenes for episode 504

Tina’s phone rang at just after three the next afternoon, just as Bette promised.

“Hi Tee,” Bette’s smooth voice came over the line. “I missed you both as soon as I left this morning.”

“I’m glad you decided to stay for breakfast,” Tina replied. She wanted to ask about Jodi, but she resisted. “What are your thoughts for the rest of the day?”

“My talk with Jodi went better than expected,” Bette said. “She recognized that we were together by circumstance rather than any actual connection.”

“Does she know you stayed here last night?” Tina asked.

“She does yes,” Bette replied. “She wasn’t surprised.”

“She wasn’t surprised you stayed here?” Tina clarified.

“No, not that. She realized long ago that I wasn’t going to be able to deny the feelings I have for you forever,” Bette explained. “She is acutely perceptive about silent communication.”

“Why do others see things better than the people in the situation?” Tina asked.

“Maybe we were too close to be objective,” Bette replied. “Or maybe we’re both a bit stubborn.”

    “A bit?” Tina laughed.

“Okay, a lot stubborn,” Bette smiled as she responded. “So…when are you coming over?”

“Are we going to talk or are we going to…” Tina’s sentence drifted off to nothing.

“I was hoping for some of both,” Bette replied. “We can spend the rest of the afternoon in the yard. Make a family dinner together. Put Angelica to bed. And see what happens from there.”

“It feels like a first date,” Tina said. “And our first date was memorable.”

“I promise tonight will be even better,” Bette stated confidently. “I’ve been thinking on it all day.”

“We’ll be there in about an hour,” Tina replied. “Can I bring anything over for dinner?”

“Not necessary. I stopped at the Farmer’s Market on the way home,” Bette said. “I’m going to amaze you with my newly discovered culinary skills.”

“So nothing like our actual first date then?”

“No certified chefs will be involved in the making of our family dinner,” Bette assured her. “Oh, and Tee?”

    “Yes?”

“Bring clothes so you don’t have to leave before going to work tomorrow morning,” Bette paused. “But don’t bother bringing anything to sleep in.”

Tina felt a warm flush throughout her body at Bette’s not so subtle instruction.

    1. now i know that you dont really mean your, the ending, cuz its just wrong. you are so good. i know it corney but honey you need to write for the show. thx

    2. Can you write for the show? That 3 part story just gave me more hope for this show than I have had in… more than two seasons. Loved the family stuff. Sex. Plus the giddy Alice.

    3. JKS that was simply awesome! I could have kept reading and reading that story. You are extremely good with the dialogue and humour in your stories. Well, I’m ready, bring on the next story.

    4. Amazing. I think the only two people that may disagree with Bette and Tina getting back together is ic and jodi. At least in this story, Bette and jodi were finished before Tina and Bette spent the night together. I don’t think that it will happen like that on the show if Bette and Tina do find themselves in this predicament.

    5. Nice of Alice to drop by. I guess everyone is showing signs of growth, not only did Bette and Tina finally get their shit together, but at long last, Alice also knew when to leave.
