A Forever Kind of Love- Chapter 13
The bright LA sun is streaming through the window as Bette is slowly waking up. ‘God, why am I so sore?’ She opens her eyes to find herself in Tina’s arms. Slightly confused that she’s lying in Tina’s arms on her couch she looks around her living room and begins to remember the last two days, the flowers that she sent Tina, Tina coming over and staying the night, spending time with Tina and Angelica, all the talks they had about their past. It was an amazing two days. Bette closes her eyes relaxing into Tina’s arms and falls back asleep.
Thirty minutes later Bette is awakened by a kick to her thigh. She quickly opens her eyes to find her three year old lying on top of her with her head snuggled into her neck. Bette smiles, and turns her head halfway around and is met by Tina’s hazel eyes gazing down at her.
“Hey.”
“Hey, did you sleep well.”
“Yeah, probably better than you did with me lying on top of you.”
“Actually I haven’t slept this good in a long time, except for the other night.”
”T?”
“Yes Bette.”
“Thank you.”
“Thank you for what Bette?”
“For being willing to delve up the past, I know it’s painful for you.”
“Bette, it’s painful for you too. We have to discuss the past if not only so that we don’t repeat the same mistakes that we’ve made. I am committed to seeing where this goes and that involves working through the hurt that we inflicted on each other.”
“Wow T, how can you be so profound this early in the morning? Ouch!”
“What’s wrong?”
“Our little angel just kicked me again.”
“Huh? How, isn’t she in bed?”
“She’s not in bed; she’s lying on top of me.”
Tina leans forward looking over Bette shoulder to see Angelica asleep on top of Bette with her head snuggled into Bette’s neck. She smiles. “This is perfect” she whispers.
“What T, did you say something?”
Tina didn’t know if she wanted to admit what she had said or not and decided that honesty was best. “I said, ‘this is perfect’”
“What do you mean?”
“You lying in my arms with our baby in yours.” She continues whispering, “My family, I’ve got my family.”

Great one. Waiting now for the conversation to determine when Tina will move back in to the house and they don’t have to miss each other like crazy when they are apart. thanks for posting.
Just starting, must go back and read previous chapters of this delightful story
