A Forever Kind of Love- Chapter 13

Later in the day Bette hears “You’ve got a phone call, you’ve got a phone call.”  She reaches across her desk to see Tina’s face lighting up her phones’ screen.  She picks up, “Hey.”

“Hi babe, how’s your day been going?”

“It’s been going good T, only one meeting today which is good for a Monday.  The only thing missing right now is you, you and Angie.  You stayed over two nights and it seemed like everything was the way it should be, I missed you so much this morning T.”

    “Me too, babe, me too.”

“So, what inspired this welcome surprise in my day?”

“I really do miss you and I’ve been so unfocused here at work because all I’m thinking about is you.”

    “Aw T.”

“I know it sounds so sappy and I know we’ve only been back together for a few days but… I don’t know how to sit here and not think of you, of you and Angie and us.”

“T, it’s not sappy, I told you that I have been unfocused all day too.  You want to get together for dinner tonight?  You can come over to the house and have dinner with Angie and me.”

“Is six thirty okay?  I have to stay a little later day to get some of the work I’ve supposed to be doing all day.”

“Six thirty is fine and Angie and I will see you then.”

    “Bye babe.”

    “Bye T.”

Six thirty couldn’t come fast enough for Tina, she had drudged through the rest of her day and even finished some of the work that she was so unfocused for earlier.

Bette stood in her kitchen in front of the stove stirring the sauce for the pasta in the other pot and kept looking at the clock, six o’clock, six- ten, six-fifteen.  It was going by so slowly ad was driving her crazy.  She hadn’t longed to see someone this must since she and Tina had first begun dating eleven years ago.

Finally six-thirty had come and right then the doorbell rung.  Bette almost ran to the door getting a giggle from her toddler who looked up from sitting in the living room playing with her toys.  She got to the door and opened it to find Tina standing there looking gorgeous in her jeans and button down shirt, reminiscent of their first kiss all those years ago.

    1. Great one. Waiting now for the conversation to determine when Tina will move back in to the house and they don’t have to miss each other like crazy when they are apart. thanks for posting.
