“Tina, Bette asked me to drive you home. She said she needs to think but will be back home in a few hours to continue the talk with you. She wants to talk to you alone about the rest of the things that bothers her and you. Now, she has gone to think it all over so you and she will be able to talk it all out, and she means all, so you can start over from tomorrow onwards. I’m sorry Tina, I really tried to get her back here, but I could not persuade her. But she is not angry, she is just very confused and overwhelmed by your conversation. I do not agree with her decision but I couldn’t stop her. So I will bring you to the campsite and we pick up Miss A., then I will drive you home. I will speak to Ben if you want me to stay with you.” Monique spoke to Tina with a regretful voice, trying to make her feel that she feels for her.
Tina is showing different kinds of emotions as she hears Monique speak. She nods her head to show to Monique she has taking all her words in.
“It’s okay, Monique, if you just take me home, I will wait for her there. You know it doesn’t really surprise me, that is always been one of our mayor problems. We either never talk or we don’t finish the conversations about what bothers us. See, when I told her about the adoption papers, she ran. When I told her in LA about her being Angelica’s mother, she ran again. Okay, I wasn’t very subtle and maybe should have chosen another moment but she hardly said anything. And things like these, we had a lot over the years. It is true, we are champions in the unspoken word. So, just bring me and Angelica home and I will wait for her, to see if we can finally do what we should have done since the beginning of our relationship.” Tina finishes with a small smile.
In the mean while, Bette is driving along the coastal road in the direction of her house, but she doesn’t take the turn, she continues driving. Her face is showing all sorts of emotions during this drive, she is bit absent-minded as her mind is working overtime. When she reaches her destination, she parks the car, gets out and walks into town. After a while she comes back and heads for the little wall that stops the sea from entering the village. She sits down on it, she feels her stomach making noises, she realizes then that she hasn’t had lunch yet, but she wants to sit here alone so she doesn’t bother to go and buy something at one of the stands.
She gets the little box out of her pocket and strokes her thumb over it as she is formulating her words, the words she so desperately wants to say to Tina.
She looks at her watch and realizes that she needs to head back soon, she feels that she is ready for it. So she gets up and heads back to her car, she puts the little box on the seat next to her and starts the engine.
On the radio, she hears Celine Dion singing the song ” You and I ” as she heads home.

At least Bette didn’t completely run away. And it looks as though she has an important question for Tina if they are able to talk through everything and patch it all up. Let’s just hope she gets home safely.

Hey BG, it’s great to have you back. And good to know that nice things are going on in your life that keep you busy… even if it means that we have to wait awhile for our “A New Life” fix. As usual, another great update. I can see why Bette needs time to ponder and carefully chose her words… trying to be heard and understood takes work. Hopefully Tina will be willing to listen when it’s Bette’s turn to speak. And what has Bette bought in town? Is that a ring in the little box? I’m looking forward to your next update. Thanks.
Missed you and your wonderful story. These two always seem to turn and run for the closest door. Tina has finally stopped running and made the effort to take back her life with Bette. Hopefully Bette will follow in those steps and stop running also. It seems that she is willing to consider allowing Tina back in. Now, if only she will stop her stubborn ways and tell Tina what she really wants to say.

Tina is rigth about Bette running but this time i am glad Bette does not running so far! i hope Bette clear her mind with this little trip and talk with Tina they need talk talk and continue talk in order to move on! take your time i hope you have good time and post soon well at lest this week! take care, thanks for the post

Well at least Bette had Monique tell Tina that she needed some time to think and didn’t just run off without an explanation. I am hanging on the edge of my seat waiting to see what Bette is going to do with what is in the little box. Oh by the way, I like the Celine Dion song that came on the radio, great choice.
Bette, go home, propose to your wife, and talk for a change. Love this. Celine always welcomed.

Hey BG, Thankk the stars that Bette only needed some space and had not left Tina for dust. Monique has been a true friend and supporter. She has put everything on the line for Bette and Tina and now knows it is time to let them ruminate and then move forward. It seems that Bette’s reaction was not totally unexpected by Tina so at least there is still hope there. Bette has clearer her head and now needs to get back to her family and show Tina the contents on that little box as a means of demonstrating her love and devotion to her family. Please show Bette the road home. Thank you for carrying on with this magical tale. Your Loyal Fan.
