    a new life ch.47

Bette drives into the parking garage, she parks the car, stops the engine and looks at herself in the rear mirror. She takes a deep breathe and says to herself ‘ Okay Porter, don’t mess this up now. Talk to her, say the things that need to be said and listen to her.’ Then she grabs her bag and the little box and gets out of the car. She walks to the main entrance where Monsieur Bernard is standing at the elevator, he greets her and pushes the button to get the lift down for her.

“ Madame Porter, your sister is already upstairs. La petite looked a bit malade.” He says to her as they wait.

“Oui, je sais. She has chickenpox, nothing too serieux, je crois. And the blonde is not my soeur, she is my life-partner.” Bette replies with a smile. The concierge is lifting his eyebrows but doesn’t say anything. Then the elevator arrives and Bette gets in, she presses the button to her apartment.

When she gets out, she takes a deep breathe as she makes her way to the door. She opens the door and steps inside. It is quiet in the house, no noise it heard, but she assumes that Tina is on the balcony so she proceeds her way to the sliding doors.

Tina hears the door and automatically her body tenses a bit, she has been re-thinking over and over her words, the words she said to Bette before she walked away. She also knows that this conversation is crucial for their future relationship. She also wants them together, more than anything else, and she also understands that they need to get all the demons out of the way before they can move on.

She doesn’t hear Bette coming closer, so she gets up and walks inside to see where Bette is. She doesn’t see her in the livingroom nor the kitchen, so she walks to the corridor and looks inside Bette’s bedroom, but she isn’t there. Then she walks on to Angelica’s room and peeks inside, she sees Bette standing at the little bed, looking at her daughter with a frown on her face. Tina walks inside towards Bette, Bette looks up to Tina but doesn’t say a word. Tina looks at her daughter and back at Bette, she figures Bette is worried about the girl’s illness.

    1. I NOTICED THAT THEY HAVE CHANGED THE MANNERS TO INSERT A CHAPTER, SO NOW I REALIZE THAT MY CHAPTER IS NOT AT THE SAME LAY OUT AS I WROTE IT IN WORD.I WON’T CHANGE IT, JUST READ IT THIS WAY.I AM ANNOYED ABOUT IT, BUT HEY THAT’S LIFE.

    2. I don’t know why these two women feel that they can not talk. Because when they do talk you can feel the love. I love how you explained Bette’s feelings about what took place in season 3. The hurt that she felt as she tried to get Tina to understand what was goin on in her head. I hope that Bette will never again feel that Tina wants to be with a man. I also hope that those feelings that Tina had were some freaky thing that happened because of Angelica’s birth. Pressure from Society and family can cause so much pain to come to the surface of one’s mind. Maybe now Bette and Tina can put the past in the past and hop on the new road that will take them to different places.

    3. hey girl this is soooooooooooooo great please let them stay this way and talk to eachother every time there is something bothering them.I’m waiting for your next chapter

    4. Hey BG! Great to see you back. I had such a huge smile when I saw your post. Thanks for the update… and the love note in the box… nice touch. I knew that Bette was not running away from Tina when she left Monique’s, and having her take the time to compose herself and clearly express her feelings to Tina was time well spent. So, now that they have cleared the air, dumped some of that heavy emotional baggage, and pledge their love… I guess the only hurdle left is… where are they going to live now? Is Bette leaving France or will Tina move there? Let us know soon.

    5. Okay, no one made a comment about “the thing” that you referred to in your authors note, so I will. It is a bracelet called Trollbeads. Okay so I admit it I had to go back and find the answer in one of your previous chapters. Hey but I did take the time to find it. I loved this chapter and I think you did very well with B&T talking and expressing their feelings.

    6. I am agree with you Bette must run to Tina, and i think that she is in the rigth way! This talk is beautiful! the way you write all the Bette’s feelings is wonderful i hope they can move on and with the time build a stronger relationship! thanks for the post, take your time, enjoy to the utmost whatever that is taking your time! LOL! good luck! take care

    7. These two give me stress, like I don’t have enough already. Great update, they have a lot to say, nows as good a time as any. Know your gonna put our girls back together for good, right?

    8. Hey BG: Congatulation! You have given us a very nice chapter. The reasons BT behavior are so well explained. Processing feelings and frustrations is the only way BT can move on and have a future. I was also very happy knowing that you have someone in your life, i wish you you both the best. Finally, if you sent her that kind of messages (I mean BT note) for sure she must be in love with you.

    9. Hey Bonaire Girl, I am loving this story as all of the hurt and anguish are dealt with and a time of healing and remorse begins. Bette and Tina do truly love each other but need time to sort out their differences. Sometimes that can be a simple as admitting them out loud and committing to trying to change for the future. Also, taking the time to just listen and then comment is a major step forward. Now I just want to hear Tina’s response to Bette’s apology. Make it soon and continue this brilliant tale. Many thanks for this marvelous melodrama. Your Loyal Fan.
