    ”Uhmm? Alice? This car isn’t like going to make me choke or run me down by itself like in that movie Christine is it?” Bette asked amused

    Alice nodded and rubbed the steering wheel.

    ”No one gets in between me and my Myrtle” Alice said in a serious tone then turned to look at Bette and began breaking out into a laugh.

    Bette shook her head and threw it back against the head rest as Alice started the car and backed out of the parking spot.

    ”Jesus. I would have Stephen King on my hands” Bette mumbled to herself as the car sputtered, choked, and spit while making its way out of the garage.

    ”Fuller? Can you tell the surgical team to go ahead and prep our 3pm and begin. I’ll be on my way momentarily to scrub in”

    ”Yes Dr. Kennard”

    ”Thank you”

    As she hung up the receiver she turned to the gentleman sitting across from her.

    ”So let me get this straight. You want me to become Chief of Staff of your new medical facility”

    ”Yes. We are meeting with the architect tomorrow morning who will be showing the designs for approval and like I told you before, your vision and what you have done here for us at Lakeland Memorial have been extraordinary. You were our first choice Tina.”

    Tina smiled and looked down at her OR schedule then back up

    ”I love everything you told me Mr. Leland but in order for me to consider this once in a lifetime opportunity, I will need to have that Cancer research facility I have come to you and begged you for the last five years. I know it’s well within the company’s budgets to build and I can secure the necessary grants to keep it in operation”

    ”Tina you know Parker isn’t going to go for that. He is putting in plans to build the Genetics research facility in San Francisco”

      It is always a pleasure to see new writers and i must admit your first chapter is awesome.
      Alice always make me laugh, she is one crazy woman! And i suspect there will be many clashes between Bette&Tina, but the acctraction is already there.

      You catched my attention and i will defiantly follow your story!
