Im actually doing considerably well, Tina smiled as Alice offered her minion like services to grab anything she could possibly want. Tina was, after all, seven months pregnant and the size of a house. Alice was a good friend like that – if there was absolutely anything Tina would like – Alice was more than happy to grab it for her. Today, she just wanted someone to go shopping with. The temptation to call Bette was beginning to reach its peak. Part of her wanted so badly just to pretend everything didnt happen and to just work it all out. But a bigger part of her was just so hurt – it needed time to heal. She needed time to heal. But being without Bette was probably the hardest thing shed had to endure in a really long time. God, she loved her. She loved her and thats what made it so hard. The whole idea of being angry at her and boarderline hating her was such a foreign concept. Not that she hated her – she could never actually hate her. But she hated her behaviour – and she hated the fact that she could do that to her.
Hence calling Alice this morning. Truth was, she just needed to chill with a friend. And as the day began to wind down – and Tina felt sleepy from the baby. Alice was just dropping her off back at the guest house she was staying at, and wanted to make certain that all her needs were met. Alice was just cool like that.
Just as Alice was hugging Tina and preparing her keys to head back to her car, her cell phone began to ring. The sudden somersault in her chest and particularly strong smile that crept onto her face proved it was definitely a good phone call. The excitement that flushed her cheeks didnt go unnoticed by Tina, now smirking, crossed her arms and waited to interrogate her about this call – that seemed to elicit such joy.
Mmmhmmfor sure! I would love – yeah. Okayno, no – thats cool – okay. Half an hour. Done and DONE. Yeah – at the entrance – by the ATM – yeah. Okay, yessee you soon. She hung up and pursed her lips preparing to bolt.
Hot date? Tina raised a brow.
No, no Her eyes widened. She was like a deer caught in headlights. Alice never did very well with hiding emotions.
Okay Al, fess up. Its obviously someone I know.
No, no, Alice felt her face flush. God, she hated how she was so easily thrilled. She felt so transparent. She decided itd probably be best to play it off, Really, Im just meeting up with Dana – weve decided to get into rollerblading and were going to get new pairstheyre on sale at sports check.
DanaDana just called? Tina tried to hide the smile – Alice was really squirming with this. She had an inkling – all the previous events strung together were beginning to make sense. Uh huh. And this is nothing, right? You tworollerblading
What exactly are you trying to imply? Alice bit her lip, Okay, okaylisten. Nothings happened. Nothings – its justits weird. Okay. Just. God. Stop looking at me like that. I feel judged. Dont get all judgey on me. Please.
Wait, wait – back up – let me get this straight. You have a thing for Dana – theres definitely something thereyou two disappear together because –

They were amongst the boppers trying on random skates. Neither particularly interested at the task at hand – but using the giant rollerblade sale as an excuse to get together, they just sort of half heartedly wandered the isles. They were far more anxious to go out for their coffee after so they could chat and well – absorb each others presence.
Im pretty done with this. Alice admitted first.
