    Bette: And what religion would that be Al?

    Bette lifts her eyebrow to Alice….Before she can respond Carmen walks over

    Bette: You know what Alice-

    Carmen interupts

    Carmen: Hey Alice and Dana

    Alice/Dana: Hey what’s up

    Carmen: Nothing just some food, beers and a good time with my crazy family. Hold on let me introduce them to you

    Carmen turns around and calls her parents over and her sister as well…Her sister comes over first

    Carmen: Carlotta these are my friends Bette, Tina, Alice, and Dana

    Carlotta: Hello

    The gang: Hi Carlotta

    She smiles and runs off to get some more bags for the trash…Carmen’s parents come over soon afterwards…Carmen’s mother approaches the table first with a big smile

    Jennifer: Well hello my name is Jennifer and I am Carmen’s mother and this is Jose

    She pulls Jose towards her and wraps her hands around his waist

    Jose: Hello…ladies

    The gang: Hi Jennifer and Jose it’s nice to meet you

    Jennifer/Jose: It’s nice to meet you all as well

    Jose and Jennifer shake hands with the women…Jose turns and sees the smoke coming from the grill…It’s real dark and he knows that it’s time to flip the chicken

    Jose: Well it’s nice meeting you all and I hope that you have fun

    Alice: Oh believe you me we are gonna have fun

    Bette kicks Alice under the table

    Bette: Thank you I hope we all have fun as well

    Jose: Ok. Let me know if you all want something ok?

    Bette: We will thank you

    Jose walks away…Alice is attending to her sore shin

    Alice: Bette what was that for?

    Bette: You know what it was for?

    Alice: But did you have to kick me?

    Bette: Yes and you know I did. So don’t act like you never needed to be disiplined

    Alice: I do but in a loving way not a harsh way. I’m a lover and not a fighter

    Bette: Yeah I’ll keep that in mind

    Carmen: So can I get you all something?

    Alice: What do you have to drink?

    No one sees Shane come up behind them…She has a beer in her hand

    5. Awwwwww. So warm and loving and peaceful for once. I love your version of Bette. Her being caring and considerate. And Carmer must be in heaven to have the woman she wants along with the approval and support of her family. Good lovin’ all around. I hope Alice can get a handle on things before she messes up her relationship. Another great post. Moving on to the next. =)
