“Tee maybe we should…” Bette’s hesitation nearly kills the lightness in the room.
“Bette I…”
“Tina I guess I just want to ask if perhaps I could maybe….”
“What Bette?”
“If we could maybe date.” Tina lays looking at Bette. ‘Did I hear what she just said?’
“Date?”
“Yes date… I know it’s all backwards but I think if we date you and I could still try to figure out what we both want but still you know, see each other and reconnect?”
“Hmmm…”
“You don’t have to say yes Tee. I just thought maybe.”
“I just thought…well I just thought maybe you’d want me to… come… well come home.” Tina looks disappointed.
“Oh Tee I do,” Bette caresses Tina’s cheek, “of course I do but I don’t know. I don’t want you to regret it and I think we both need to figure out what we both want before we jump into everything.”
“You’re right. I just I think it’s probably the hormones talking.”
“So what do you say Tina Kennard will you me the honor of going on a date with me?” Bette whispers inches from Tina’s face.
“Of course…” Her lips curl up as she closes the gap between them enveloping Bette in her arms kissing her passionately. Their tongues duel for control increasing the sexual tension between them, only to breaking for a moment to breathe.
“If we don’t stop we’ll be at The Planet by dinner.”
“If we stop I might die.” Bette retorts. Tina let’s out a laugh.
“I know what you mean. But babe those women have been so supportive and amazing the least we could do is have brunch.”
“You’re right, you’re right. I know.”
“Wow I’m right? You really have changed haven’t you? Besides we have a lifetime to get it right this time around cause I am not going anywhere.”
“A life time… I think I like the sound of that.” Bette kisses Tina once more.
“Should we tell them?”
“I’d like to but what exactly are we telling them?’
“That we’re dating? That just seems silly. Don’t you think?” Tina furrows her brow.

It’s so nice to see Bette and Tina loving one another. S6 doesn’t give us much of that!
Bette and Tina are smart, they need time and a lot of talking. Bette is in this for th long haul.Poor Tina wanted a U-Haul. Alice can be funny some times
Beautiful chapter. You make us see their feelings by some little events and gestures. Not much, but really sweet and meaningful.If you think you have to end this story with the next chapter, go for it. I’m sure you have a nice closure in mind. But maybe you could think about a sequel. I’d follow you into that one.

I hope that this story remains for a while. I love how close Bette and Tina are and how serious they are about taking it slowly. They are willing to work separately and together to regain their lives.
Great chapter girl. So full of emotion and love, and I cracked up at the line Kit said “She’s standing right next to you – Please don’t deny it” you capture their love and so well!-Can’t wait for more! PPS xx
