    Keeping the party going.

    Tina: Let’s head to the Planet. Kit was picking Angelica up from Pre School and will have her there to meet us. Though I should say greet us. The mothers chuckle at the thought.

    Bette: Oh god if she called out Shane for being tired I can only imagine what she’d say about us. Laughing. Come on the car is just down this row.

    Tina eases into her seat, slips on her seatbelt and shades and leans back for the ride through rush hour traffic. Tina pulls out her blackberry to check e-mail and send a text to the girls to let them know they’re on their way.

    At the Planet

    Alice: Alright Tina just sent the text; they’re on their way so it should be about 30 in this rush hour traffic.

    Shane: Well Bette is driving and hasn’t seen Angelica in almost 3 days!

    Kit: OK let’s assume 20 minutes. It doesn’t matter, everything is ready and Tina will ring Alice’s phone when they are parking.

    Angelica: Will Momma like my dress? I want to look pretty for her today. I even changed into my sandals today.

    Kit: Boo not only will Momma think you look beautiful for her surprise party, but she’ll be so happy to see you.

    Angelica: I miss Mommy and Momma. I’m glad they are coming home today.

    Shane: Well they miss you too PJ. Come on let’s go check on the cake, but we can’t touch it.

    Angelica: Well, I picked the colors. It’s not Momma’s birthday though. She got an award and we are saying congratulations, not happy birthday, so no candles are on the cake.

    Shane: Well we don’t need candles it’s going to be bright enough seeing the smile on your Momma’s face when she sees you and the cake.

    Angelica: Do you think Momma will let me have cake first then dinner?

    Alice: What do you think PJ?

    Angelica: Well, Momma might, but Mommy wouldn’t. So OK what’s for dinner again?

    Kit: Angelica you know what’s for dinner and you will eat some dinner first before we cut the cake. Shane, you’re on camera duty, right?

    Shane: Got it covered.

    Alice: They’re here; Tina just called.

    Kit: We are congratulating my sister Dean Bette Porter tonight, so we’re going to dim the lights a bit and yell congratulations when she walks through the door. Please feel free to join in, thank you.

    1. Loved this story, lwsho. They are a great family together especially when Bette can relax and let the love happen. Having another child will be wonderful for them and it will also help Angie, although she is almost too grown now, with her take charge personality. It is not necessarily in the genes, it is also the environment that shapes up into the people we become. If hr mother’s are anything to judge by she will be quite a young lady, beautiful, smart, loving and one hell of an alpha. Won’t she. This is fun and I enjoy it, although for some reason I smell trouble in the air. Tell me I’m wrong. If not, plese don’t let it be too serious. Happy New Year. Post when you can.

    2. lwshow2005, I LOVE ANGIE!!! I had some time after dinner to settle myself in front of the fire as it snows at the moment, and read this very generous post. I enjoy reading good fics that have Angie in them. They are usually written with such fun, love, and a lightness which can be very easy to indulge in. Can’t wait for baby #2!!!!!! :- )))) Happy New Year and can’t wait for the next chappy. Oh and btw, good selection for a movie.

    12. Dimples, thanks for reading and replying. I’ve been bumped off course and not sure if I’ll resume writing this one. At some point I may wrap it up with another chapter, but my author days may be over; kind of in a Fan Fic funk at the moment.
