And So Love Goes…
“Bette…Bette” Bette faintly heard Alice calling her from a distance. She turned around quickly intending to admonish Alice for her pestering. Alice was nowhere in sight and so was Tina. Bette found herself all alone in a strangely familiar place she once found maternal comfort. “NOOO” Bette screamed in protest but the serenity absorbed and silenced her cry. She was not ready or willing to let go with Tina so nearby. She can strongly feel and smell the essence of Tina lingering on her skin.
“Bette…Bette…wake up…are you alright?” There was Alice’s voice intruding on her search for Tina again. Bette shook her head trying to dislodge the noise but felt a forceful jerk on the shoulder that snapped her head upright.
“What…huh…Alice…What are you doing here?” Bette asked, uncertain of her whereabouts. The sudden movement must have made her head a bit disoriented to see Alice and not Tina standing nearby.
“We’re at the office Bette. I just came back with lunch. Are you sure you’re alright?” Bette nodded in a reply to Alice’s statement. A familiar feeling passed as she vaguely recalled leaving Tina at the front office to retrieve the keys from her desk. The euphoria rush of holding Tina must somehow cause a brief daydreaming and delaying her return.
“Is she still out there Al?” Bette expectedly asked and grabbed her keys to join Tina for that talk. She did not wait for Alice’s reply, instead quickly turned on her heels out of the office to see Tina.
“What did I miss….who’s out there….what are you talking about?” Alice stated, following behind Bette closely, clearly baffled by her bizarre behavior.
“Where is she?” The bewildered look on Bette’s face alarms the blonde receptionist. Her boss’s face is pale in confusion while mumbling incoherently.
“Who are you looking for? Did we have a visitor while I was out?” Alice’s eyes darted back and forth between Bette, her office, and the front door. Alice was not sure whether it was Bette that mistaken her for whomever she was looking for; or it was she that obviously missed something significant being on lunch errand.
“Don’t play around Alice, you’ve met Tina….she was here just minutes ago…oh I know….she’s in the washroom” Bette rushed off to the lady’s room in the far corner and knocked lightly “Tina, are you in there?” the door creek open in response. Bette pushes the door to widen the view; no one was inside. ‘What the hell is going on…am I hallucinating?’ The vacant interior and Alice’s look of concern cause Bette to wonder.

Oh no. You can’t do that. You can’t stop writing in this state. Tina must run to Bette to be with her. Please let as not so long wait for the next chapter. Please post soon!!
I just caught up with the whole story.. and this is what I get? Don’t leave us hanging too long. Now that most things are out in the open I’d hope they can finally talk to each other.
Please do not leave us waiting for to long. Tina needs to run up to Bette room and tell her she still loves her. Let’s just hope it will be in time to save Bette’s life. Thanks
Glad you’re back, but how can you be thinking of ending this so soon. Seems like a lot of missing info. to only have one post left. Either way, this has been a great story.
oh, you so cruel with all this drama…i hope that friend of yours won’t be disappointed in the end ;) at least tina knows the truth now
Good that Tina is know the truth now and let see go see Bette. Please let Bette be ok. OK post soon please, thanks!
Finally when Tina finds out that Bette had no choice in the matter of leaving her all those years earlier, Bette is very ill herself and may not make it. So much love and hurt and two wasted lives you wonder why even live in the first place.
I love your story! Especially this chappy…rollercoaster. It is “beautifully sad”… I know it sounds lame, but it is what I feel after reading it. PPS, don’t make us wait too long!
I finally got around to reading this. Do you need a hide out or anything? LMAO!
So, I read the author note and decided I’m saving this one for later. lol
