Watching her on the set only proved what Alice had heard about her. She was easygoing, friendly, beautiful and a hard worker.
She had eased right into that role without any problem. But something puzzled Alice a little. This and the way Bette acted when she came out of Tina’s room.
Bette questioned her as though she were Tina’s woman, as if she were jealous. Well, if anyone was going to get to the bottom of this, Alice would.
Alice: (talking to herself) I didn’t take up journalism in college for nothing! Then why am I doing hair?
Helena turned around in her chair and looked out of her office window. She had waited for years to give it to Bruce. He had beaten her using unethical ways.
But this time, she would tear him to pieces. Ohhh, yes (singing happily) Bruce, Bruce, Bruce …..Your Ass Is Mine! Laughing now, she turned back to her desk and looked over a few photos.
The first one was of Bette. She was a very, very beautiful woman. One that she sensed was very dominant like herself.
Also. she could tell just by looking at the photo that Bette was a very determined woman. She looked like she got what she wanted.
Helena also knew that the only thing between them would be business; too much dominance under one roof would be catastrophic.
Bette sort of reminded Helena of Shane in a weird kind of way; things between the two of them just wouldn’t work at all, either. Shane was just too distant, too closed, too much like her.
The second photo was of Ms. Kennard.
Now Helena could see why Bette wanted a divorce. A relationship with someone like Tina might be pleasing.
Tina had that angelic look about her. Helena started thinking….ahhh, Ms. Kennard, I’ll bet you’re a freak in the sheets.
The last photo was of Carmen. Carmen was all she wanted in a woman: sexy, strong, outgoing and sweet. That one night that she had spent with her in the cabin was special.
That’s when she had fallen in love with her, but she knew it couldn’t be. She knew her brother Mark adored Carmen, and she would never hurt her brother.

That a lawyer doesn’t have any remorse over raping someone explains the current state of our judicial system. Bette should file charges. If that pig knocked her up that way, I think Bette should consider an abortion.

Tina has got to see that something is wrong here…..i hope she can see Bette’s pain and gets her to a doctor and hello…..morning after pill; Bette can’t be pregnant! And the Tina and Bette both need to go after Bruce. That 3 month deal is so over now that Bruce violated Bette in such a horrible way. I’m kind of hoping that Cheryl and Bruce both kill each other. Post soon.
GOSH!!! I hate that u got Shane and Carmen digging each other in this new repost. I really liked that her and Helena were finally given in to there long lost love. I HATE Shane and Carmen together. Is is possible to have Helena and Carmen again????? PLEASE!

Suc, Another wonderful chapter nailed there. Interesting to see all the storylines weave together. All of the unspoken desires and temptations that are felt by these characters. My heart did bleed as Tina and Bette realized the realities and harshness of loving someone completely. I do hope that Tina will give Bette the space and chance to tell her the truth or as much of it as she can remember. Difficult position as Bette can;t go to the cops and admit that her husband raped her. As for Shane and Carmen, sweet to see the attraction is there. These two will get together soon, fate demands it. Shame about Helena and Mark as they both long for the unattainable. Cheryl and Bruce deserve one another and a long prison sentence. And typical that Alice is on the trail of the truth between Bette and Tina. You are the mistress, Suc and I enjoy reading how you jerk the strings of your puppets.
