    As One Door Closes…

     Chapter 1

Tina Kennard felt so lost in her world… the one she had created with her wife of three years. She had tried every way she could to reconnect with her wife, Michelle Ritzman after the miscarriage of their daughter at five months. What she didn’t know was that Michelle had suffered from depression for most her life; it being a family trait that many members of her family suffered from.

After the miscarriage, Michelle suffered from a severe case of post partum depression and with that came a loss of her self and her want of a life with Tina. She felt so numb with her world and her self that consequently, it became so easy to push Tina away. She tried to communicate with Michelle in a variety of ways but she had refused her words and actions and had pushed Tina away further.

She had also lost sight of the fact that Tina loved her like no other; that their heart connection was quite strong, unlike than any other relationship she had ever experienced in her life. They had a quiet language all their own that was spoken from the depths of their eyes. Some of their deepest connections when making love came from the shared glance between them from their hearts. Michelle’s eyes were missing that depth now, almost being vacant.

Tina, who worked at a small independent movie studio, was coming to the end of the final stages of filming for the movie ‘A Sudden Winter’, a movie she had stolen from the graces of a prestigious studio in New York. She had been able to snag the movie for the studio where she worked as the Projects and Creative Director.

This was her fourth year of employment with them. It wasn’t an easy job as her boss, Jason Williams, fought her at every turn and wasn’t ever appreciative of the work she had done to bring the studio the recognition she had earned them. His negativity towards her was because she had refused to sleep with him after she first arrived on the scene.
