Joyce sat in her office awaiting a call from the lead investigator on Tina’s case in Australia Tasha Williams. With the significant time zone difference between Los Angeles and Australia Joyce and Tasha had to coordinate their schedules to talk once a month at a reasonable hour for both of them. It was coming upon the one year anniversary of Tina’s disappearance. Generally these calls were short and for the most part had become perfunctory since there was nothing new to update but Joyce wasn’t yet ready to let go completely. She didn’t want to feel any regrets that she didn’t do everything possible to locate Tina Kennard. Whether she was found dead or alive she owed her charge that much. Though Joyce expected the call she certainly didn’t expect the news that she’d received from Tasha that day.
“Joyce I think I may have a possible lead in the disappearance of Ms. Kennard but nothing has been confirmed.”
“Have they found a body?”
“No. I think Ms. Kennard might be alive.”
“I’ll be on a flight this evening. Just tell me where.”
“Joyce I need you to stay put. This is just a warm lead. I don’t have anything concrete yet.”
“Tell me what you have.”
“I received a call from a dear friend; a doctor named Bette Porter. She’s one of the world’s leading plastic surgeons. She runs a private clinic on the island of Tahaa. She called to discreetly inquire about a patient of hers that is suffering from amnesia. The woman came to the clinic from Queensland for treatment of severe facial and upper body injuries which she said she’d attained in an auto collision but Dr. Porter thinks differently. As I mentioned she’s a leader in her field and she’s qualified to make assessments on the cause of most every different type of injury. She thinks these were sustained in an animal attack consistent with crocodile bites. The timeline of this woman’s accident seems to coincide with Ms. Kennard’s disappearance.”
“Oh my God Detective. Are you telling me that it’s possible that Tina survived a vicious crocodile attack and somehow made her way from Queensland to this clinic on Tahaa for treatment? It’s been almost a year, why hasn’t she contacted me or anyone else?”

Ok get Joyce down there maybe it will trigger Tina’s memory and they head back and kick Jodi’s butt.
oh I hear in the background “apocalypse now” playing and the distant thunder of rescue choppers coming for tina….again, a wonderful treat to be able to see this story through the eyes of so many characters.. gotta LOVE the joyce when she smirks on her game face and is ready for some serious whoop ass. I definitely think it IS game on for everyone.
