    Dirty Harry and the shocking discovery

    Driving to CU one morning, Bette had a flash of insight that she thought would better explain to her class of graduate students a turning point in the movement away from abstract expressionism.  She needed to review the images in one of her research volumes to confirm her insight, but when she later looked around her office and couldn’t find it, she realized that she must have inadvertently left it at home.  She turned to her computer and did some quick searches in Google Images and located what she needed.

     

    Bette was happy for the respite her work at CU provided.  The pressures at home were growing greater as time passed and they could not find a place where the in-laws could safely relocate.  Also, Bette could feel the conflicting emotions within the house’s walls. Tina was already mourning her family’s departure as was the matriarch. Bette thought she got a similar vibe from the patriarch, though she wasn’t sure. The rest of the family was growing increasing angry that they were still trapped in the confines of WeHo and the nightly visits to Griffith Park were no longer enough to satisfy their innate love need for the wild.

     

    Bette continued to spend hours on the Internet researching habitats.  She had combed through the university library.  She had even dropped in to visit the professors and grad students at the university’s zoology and animal behavior departments.  She studied maps of Montana, Minnesota, the Pacific Northwest and lower Canada. She had gathered tremendous amounts of information but could not piece it together to form an answer.

     

    That day, when work was done, she dawdled, using the excuse that she needed to do more habitat research.  She turned to her computer and typed in the same keywords she had been using.  Expecting nothing useful to appear, she only glanced at the screen.  When she focused, Bette cursed because she had not switched from Google Images. She decided that it was at least different from what she had seen before and she scrolled down the page.  She stopped at the 27th image from a Youtube video that caught her attention, though later she would be unable to articulate why.

    4. I can’t explain the happy-silly face I have everytime I see you have posted a Backstory chap!! Awww woman.. how sweet is Bette with Trouble!! I have to admit its so funny when dogs (or wolfs in this case) tilt their heads in puzzlement, it makes them look so cute! My dog always do it when I try to explain he doesn’t have the same benefits as me inside our house. I think Bette needs a baby boy.. as great as she is with Angie.. I still believe Bette would be a wonderful mother to a boy. Anyway, I’m glad you haven’t kick them out from Tibette house yet. I hope uncle Sunny help them to locate close WeHo .. I don’t think the pack will be happy to leave them. Thanks for this lovely update and keep having those spumonies.. I might ask you the recipe some day.     5. Hi, dear sweet Spumoni! Yaaayyy!!! you just made our day and week! The wolfies are back! Of course we have become attached to them. Same as Bette has a certain predilection for Trouble. We know the wolfies would feel better if Bette could find the proper place for them, but… We are still reluctant to let them go. You ask Trouble. He does practically everything that Bette suggests or feels it is the right thing. Thanks for sharing with us this story. We LOVE the wolfies and can’t live without them! Hahaha Yep. We mean it.     8. Hurray! It’s Spumoni! Yay! It’s “Backstory”! I had to laugh at Tina’s observation about Bette keeping Angela housebound until she reached 30. I doubt Bette would succeed, but I can see how she might give it a good try. I want to hear more about Bette’s habitat research. Despite the confinement, it seems The Great Hunter has provided well for the growing pups. As long as Trouble is privy to the comments, please rub his tummy for me.

    15. I absolutely love this story. The connection between Tina and her wolf family is incredible and now how Bette as become just as an important part of that family. I love the younger wolves and how attached they seem to be to Bette.

Who Dirty Harry was in this tale is sweeter… I’m glad Bette has potentially found a solution that will work for everyone, but she’s really going to miss Trouble.     21. Wonderful!!! Of course, Trouble needs a nice squirrel-ridden backyard where he can enjoy barbecued squirrel and bedtime stories. Can’t wait till the younger ones start expressing themselves in Wolfish.
