She quietly and quickly made her way over to her side and placed the flowers on top of her pillow in Tina’s line of sight, so when she turned over to look for Bette the first thing she would see were the flowers. She placed the card upright on the flowers, and then walked around the bed to Tina’s side to look at her before she left.

Tina was the best thing to ever come into her life, and Bette was so grateful she had Tina. She couldn’t even imagine what her life would be like if she didn’t have Tina, and she didn’t want to think about it. It scared her too much.

Bette leaned down hoping not to wake Tina, and kissed her softly on the forehead and lightly patted her hair.

“I love you,” She whispered to Tina’s peaceful sleeping figure; she turned around and made her way out of the house. The time now was 6:10am, and she wanted to make it to the pound by at least 7:30am, and it took an hour to get there.

7:15am

Tina started to stir in bed and she stretched and let out a moan as she did. She was so sore but she was sore in all the right places.
