Kerry unlocked the cage and picked up the pug and handed it to Bette. Bette was surprised at this because she thought Kerry would hold the puppy while she examined it.

“They are all fixed so you don’t have to worry about any of them reproducing,” Kerry said closing the cage, “And they have their shots as well.”

Bette looked at the pug and held it out in front of her like you would a baby when it pooped and it stank too much. It was actually kind of cute, and she was the only puppy from the cage that gave her the time of day. She brought the puppy back towards her body and then looked back in the cage; she actually felt bad. She wanted to take them all home with her, but she knew she couldn’t. Kerry some how detected this.

“These types of puppies usually go fast, there were six here before and now there is only three left, and they always go to good homes.” Kerry reassured Bette

Bette smiled, “I think Tina would love this one here,”

“You sure? We have another litter just down there if you want to take a look,”

“No thanks, I am absolutely sure Tina will love this one,” Bette said while looking at the pug and smiling.

“I’m sure Tina’s not the only one,” Kerry smiled

Bette chuckled a bit. Kerry motioned for Bette to follow her, they went outside to where the front desk was and Kerry motioned to the wall behind it that Bette somehow missed. It was full of things pets would need, leashes, feeding and drinking bowls, toys and collars, food and even more.

Shit, looks like I’m going to be spending a lot more then I had planned.

8:20am

Tina had woken up 20 minutes ago; she couldn’t get back too sleep because she was too excited waiting for Bette to get home. Last night and what Bette could have gone to get her was going around in her head, all the possibilities making her giddy inside. She was just laying there naked under the sheets when she heard her cell go off and thought it was Bette, she looked at the caller ID and saw it was Alice.
