Blueprints—Chapter 10
“And we respected her decision dear..Not that we agreed with it but it’s what she wanted..Let’s just be thankful she has decided to come home now..We shouldn’t dwell on the fact that she hasn’t until today”
Debra sighs “You are right…And I am grateful for that..I’m also shocked she is bringing someone with her…I’m so curious to meet the woman that has caused such change in Tina..She must be an angel”
Robert laughs as he rubs his wife’s back in a smoothing manner.
“Debra?..Don’t pry..Let Tina tell us when she is ready…Bombing her with questions will only push her away and shut down on us and we don’t want that when she has slowly let us back in”
“I know..It’s just going to be hard to not want to ask everything that’s been going on with her..But I’m so grateful she has found someone that can bring her back to herself…She lost herself when Jacob died and shut us out in the process” Debra says as her cellphone chimes. She reaches into the pocket of her dress pulling it out to view the message
“It’s Tina..She says they just landed and are retrieving their luggage and will call when they get to the hotel”
“I wish she would have stayed here” Robert replied “But I understand why she didn’t want to”
Debra nodded “I’m just glad she is here”
“Me too” Robert agreed
________________
After getting the rental car Bette programmed the address of the hotel in the GPS and the two were currently riding silently to their destination as the voice on the GPS guided Bette with directions. Although she wanted to ask Tina if she was ok she decided to leave well enough alone sensing Tina’s apprehension and nervousness ever since they had landed.
Tina on the other hand was grateful Bette didn’t push for conversation but her presence alone was comforting and helping with all the anxiety that was bubbling inside of her. In that moment she reached over and placed her hand on Bette’s leg squeezing it ever so slightly signaling her appreciation. Bette turned her head and gave Tina an understanding smile before returning her attention back on the road. Tina couldn’t help but fall in love with Bette just a little more at that moment.

So glad you are back!! What an emotional release for Tina. So glad she had Bette to lean on. I really like this story and this couple. I can almost feel Tina’s exhaustion. Did I say I like this story?

jlr,
Upon seeing the title, started rubbing my hands with glee . . . u’re back!! And then I scrolled down to see how many pages and at 1st thought that “only” 7 wouldnt satisfy.
But after Tina’s unplanned visit to visit Jacob, and the collapse of the heart that her “baby boy” was gone, I count my blessings and you wont be hearing any adolescent wining from me!! NO Siree!!

Very nice to see this continuation….. I too like this story. Rather emotional to have Tina grieve as she did. I hope that she and Bette are ready to be life long companions with each other rather than substituting work in the place of a relationship. I like the parents – Tina’s mom is a little neurotic, but once she sees Tina, maybe some of this nervous anxiety will go away….It looks like all are in for a nice Thanksgiving….
Thanks for the update…. hope to see more in the near future…

Hello, so glad to see you updating this fic. This was such an emotional chapter, but Tina needed to get some of her feelings out. Glad Bette was there for her. I hope Tina’s mom did not invite her ex for Thanksgiving. I think that would make her regret coming home. I’ll be waiting for your other updates whenever you are able to post them.

Post whenever you are able to do it.
What a emotinal time for Tina, grieving for her son and Bette was there to support her. They are a good couple together.
Debra and Robert, i had to smile about their interaction!
