    Blueprints—Chapter 10

Ok dear.  Glad you made it safely.  Your father and I can’t wait to see you and to meet your girlfriend’

She sighed and slightly smiled as she put her phone down on the bed and Bette emerged from the bathroom

“I have a hot bath drawn for you along with some of my lavender stress relief foam bath.  Why don’t you get in and relax.  I’ll take care of putting our clothes away”

Tina looked at Bette and smiled.  It was the first time anyone has looked after her or better yet that she even allowed to look after her.  This was new for Tina but Bette had brought all her defenses down and it was time to enjoy what she had closed herself off to…love and intimacy

“Only if you would get in with me”

Bette smiled and held out her hand

    “Are you sure?”

    Tina nodded

“I’m more than sure” she replied taking Bette’s hand as she led them into the bathroom.  Tina’s eyes went wide at the candles that were lit and lined up on the side of the tub.

“You did all this for just me?”

Bette smirked as she begin unbuttoning her top

“Well I kind of hoped that you would ask me to join you”

Tina chuckled as her eyes drank in Bette’s body as the clothing fell one by one from her frame leaving Gods most perfect creation for her viewing pleasure

“You never cease to take my breath away Bette”

Bette smiled as she tugged at Tina’s blouse

“And you took my breath away the day I met you and I never got it back”

Tina blushed slightly as Bette’s fingers begin making work of the buttons on her blouse

“Did anyone ever tell you that your charm is addicting.  I don’t think I will ever get tired of it”

Bette smiled as she leaned in closer to Tina. Her lips just inches apart as she slipped Tinas blouse off her shoulders and it fell to the floor.  Tina unclasped her bra and tossed it to the side and after shedding the rest of her clothing Bette kissed Tina softly in the lips before backing away and stepping into the tub.

“Come here” Bette motioned as Tina took her hand and stepped in the tub.  Bette slid down into the foaming bath and rested her back against the tub “Lean against me”

Tina smiled and bit her lip as she turned grabbing the edges of the tub and easing herself down and leaning back against Bette who immediately kissed the back of her shoulder.

Tina closed her eyes and sighed as she relaxed every muscle that had been tense since before they left L.A.  Exhaustion was setting in from the flight and the emotional visit to Jacob’s grave for the first time since his burial had taken its toll.

    “Bette?”

“Yeah?” Bette replied rubbing up and down Tina’s arms and with her hands massaging them as she when along

“That feels so nice…Thank you for being there for me today. I hadn’t intended on going to his grave today but I guess I felt I needed to rip the bandaid off so to speak. I felt I had enough courage because you were with me.  I finally let myself grieve and I don’t think I could have done it without you” You have been so good to me and so patient”

Bette rested her chin on Tina’s shoulder

“Sweetie you don’t need to thank me.  I’m so glad you trusted me to be there for you.  I want nothing more than to be there for you whenever you need me”

Tina turned her head as her lips met Bette’s. It was a kiss of comfort, of letting go, of longing and of love”

Tina pulled away as she looked up into Bette’s eyes. She had never in all her life felt what she was feeling at that very moment and she was overwhelmed with an outburst of love and happiness she felt for the woman holding her. Although it may be too soon but she couldn’t ignore or help what she was feeling.

    “Bette?” Tina asks almost faintly

“Yes?” Bette answered staring into Tina’s beautiful hazel eyes

    “I love you”

    1. So glad you are back!! What an emotional release for Tina. So glad she had Bette to lean on. I really like this story and this couple. I can almost feel Tina’s exhaustion. Did I say I like this story?

    2. jlr,
Upon seeing the title, started rubbing my hands with glee . . . u’re back!! And then I scrolled down to see how many pages and at 1st thought that “only” 7 wouldnt satisfy.

But after Tina’s unplanned visit to visit Jacob, and the collapse of the heart that her “baby boy” was gone, I count my blessings and you wont be hearing any adolescent wining from me!! NO Siree!!

    3. Very nice to see this continuation….. I too like this story. Rather emotional to have Tina grieve as she did. I hope that she and Bette are ready to be life long companions with each other rather than substituting work in the place of a relationship. I like the parents – Tina’s mom is a little neurotic, but once she sees Tina, maybe some of this nervous anxiety will go away….It looks like all are in for a nice Thanksgiving….

Thanks for the update…. hope to see more in the near future…

    4. Hello, so glad to see you updating this fic. This was such an emotional chapter, but Tina needed to get some of her feelings out. Glad Bette was there for her. I hope Tina’s mom did not invite her ex for Thanksgiving. I think that would make her regret coming home. I’ll be waiting for your other updates whenever you are able to post them.

    5. Good to see you back!

Post whenever you are able to do it.

What a emotinal time for Tina, grieving for her son and Bette was there to support her. They are a good couple together.

Debra and Robert, i had to smile about their interaction!
