Blueprints—Chapter 10
“I’m getting worried Robert” Debra stated as she picked up her phone checking again for any messages
“Debra I’m sure Tina is ok. She said she would let us know when she arrived at the hotel”
“I wish she would have just stayed here. We have plenty of room”
Robert sighed and shook his head “You know Tina was not going to stay here. It’s too much for her otherwise she would have been back here”
Debra frowned at the phone
“I should call her” Debra says as begins to scroll through her phone
Suddenly the phone was snatched out of her hand
“For God sakes Debra stop!” Robert replied with a hint of aggravation in his voice as he held her phone in his hand “Did you not hear what I said earlier? Do not hound Tina or push her. She will bolt at the first sign of pressuring that comes from either one of us and you know it and I will not let you ruin this homecoming for her or the first Thanksgiving she will be home since Jacob died”
Startled at her husband’s sternness Debra relented
“Ok..ok…Jesus Robert I’m sorry..I just can’t help it..The last thing I want to do is scare her away but I’m a Mother and I worry”
“Debra sweetie I get that. But you know she landed. And she has someone with her. I’m sure she is fine”
Debra nodded as her phone pinged. She excitedly grabbed it out of Roberts hand to read the message.
Sorry I didn’t text earlier. But we are at the hotel now. We will be there early to help with dinner. Love you both
Debra sighed as Robert gave her a ‘I told you so look’
“Ok..Ok..You were right” Debra said sarcastically and rolled her eyes
“Well I’m glad you see that every now and then” Robert chuckled as relief flooded Debra’s face. “Let’s go get the remaining items we need for dinner tomorrow”
Debra nodded as she texted a reply to Tina before they prepared to leave
Meanwhile at the hotel
Tina sat on the edge of the bed staring at her phone as a reply from her Mother popped up on the screen. She opened it and read the message

So glad you are back!! What an emotional release for Tina. So glad she had Bette to lean on. I really like this story and this couple. I can almost feel Tina’s exhaustion. Did I say I like this story?
jlr,
Upon seeing the title, started rubbing my hands with glee . . . u’re back!! And then I scrolled down to see how many pages and at 1st thought that “only” 7 wouldnt satisfy.
But after Tina’s unplanned visit to visit Jacob, and the collapse of the heart that her “baby boy” was gone, I count my blessings and you wont be hearing any adolescent wining from me!! NO Siree!!
Very nice to see this continuation….. I too like this story. Rather emotional to have Tina grieve as she did. I hope that she and Bette are ready to be life long companions with each other rather than substituting work in the place of a relationship. I like the parents – Tina’s mom is a little neurotic, but once she sees Tina, maybe some of this nervous anxiety will go away….It looks like all are in for a nice Thanksgiving….
Thanks for the update…. hope to see more in the near future…
Hello, so glad to see you updating this fic. This was such an emotional chapter, but Tina needed to get some of her feelings out. Glad Bette was there for her. I hope Tina’s mom did not invite her ex for Thanksgiving. I think that would make her regret coming home. I’ll be waiting for your other updates whenever you are able to post them.
Never thought of the ex showing up. Ugh!
¡Hola,me alegro que estes devuelta con esta historia y extraño a las otras me encantó el capítulo y esperando con ansias el siguiente, gracias.
Good to see you back!
Post whenever you are able to do it.
What a emotinal time for Tina, grieving for her son and Bette was there to support her. They are a good couple together.
Debra and Robert, i had to smile about their interaction!
