Breathless Part 10
“Wow I didn’t even know that.” Dane couldn’t believe herself she was such a dork. How could I not know that I’m in love? She berated herself.
“Hmm do you guys think I should tell her what I feel?”
“Of course you have to tell her but let’s take things a bit slower. Take her out for a few dates, ask her about her life, her family, her friends and her job and listen to every thing she says. This is to let her know you care everything about her. Women usually fall for that.” Carmen said. Shane smirked at her where she received a smacked on the head in returned.
“Hey don’t show me that face I am talking about other women.” Carmen tried to look annoyed but failed miserably. She laughed as soon as Shane rubbed her head.
“Aww baby is that hurt?”
“Not if you kiss it to make it better.” Shane said. They were about to lock their lips together when Dana interrupted.
“Guys!” Both brought their gaze back to Dana.
“Opps sorry Dane couldn’t tear my eyes off this gorgeous lady.” Shane looked at Carmen as she said. Carmen smiled a smile that could light up the room.
“But there’s one problem.”
“What is that?” Carmen leaned back onto the table concerned.
“I don’t know what she thinks. I don’t even know whether she is interested.” Dana said.
“Dane you cannot expect her to confess her feelings this soon. I mean Tonya told you her previous girlfriend is a player?”
Dana nodded.
“Then she needs time Dane she just scares to be hurt again. But don’t worry I think once she warms up with you then she will have no problem opens up her feeling. From what Shane and you told me there’s no doubt that the editor feels the same way as you do. Do have faith in yourself Dane. Just go get your woman. Oh and a few bouquets of roses won’t hurt.”
Dana stood in front of the arriving hall looking at the information board. Well the flight has already touched the ground of LA. Dana looked around for the trace of the blonde. Alice didn’t know she was here to fetch her and Dana wanted to impress her. She felt more confident after listening to Shane and Carmen. She was glad to have such friends in her rescue because she was really stupid to figure out her own feelings sometimes. I am in love oh my god I never realized that no wonder I can’t get my mind off her, she thought. Then a smile crept across her lips as she remembered what Carmen said, go get your woman. Oh how I wish she is my woman. As Dana was indulged in her not so friendly thought of the blonde she was snapped out from it when she saw her. Wow can she not look so gorgeous for just a minute? She thought. But it was impossible. The blonde could show up with a sack wrapped around her and Dana still wanted her. Dana swallowed hard. Here it goes, she muttered under her breath. She walked behind the blonde and tapped lightly on her shoulder. Alice turned around and was surprised to see the tennis player.
