“It’s another shift code but here again we need to know what rule my father applied…”

“What are we looking for?” Tina asked curious.

“A number… it could be any really…” Bette’s eyes narrowed as she ran them over her father’s handwritten note. “When I was a child… that number was always a 3”

The last words were spoken slowly and evenly as if her normal speech was hindered by the intense concentration which was hers.

Then a spark in her eye and a bright smile appeared on the face.

“It is 3… the rule is definitely 3.” She announced a moment later.

“How do you know?” Tina was intrigued.

“The signature … there …look.” Bette proudly presented her proof, “He has signed and placed three dots after his signature.”

“Could it be that simple?” Tina asked perplexed.

“Sometimes the best way to hide something is in plain view.” Bette replied as she took hold once again of the page on which she had written the alphabet. “If my dad has shifted the letters three places it now means that C is an A, D is a B, E is a C..etc..”

A few seconds later two lines of the alphabet stood one below the other, the second one however stood three spaces shifted to the right.

She readied herself and asked Tina to call the letters of the partially decoded sentence one after the other.

With each letter called out, Bette read from the shifted alphabet to give Tina what the original letter would have been.

Once all the letters were exhausted, both women stopped and stared at the newly uncovered set of letters.

    T   H   I   S   N   E   E   D   L   E   D   I   D   N   O   T   S   E   W

    “Wow…” Tina exclaimed.

    “I know…” Bette replied.

“It is real…” Tina was in awe, “There really is a hidden message under this jumble of dots and numbers.”

“And it looks like it is a riddle.” Bette added reading out the words they had uncovered. “This needle did not sew.”

    2. Hi, Kins

Oh my God, Kins, welcome back, after almost 2 years, it’s been a long time, but reading the whole story now I feel, the wait was worth.

You have given us a quite wonderful and interesting story full of adventures and riddles and full of love of my favorite couple Bette and Tina.

You ended the story in a very good way, but I feel as if I want to know more about them, if Bette gets the funding for her project in Mexico, the wedding, their partnership, what Tina does for a job… and many more things.

I hope we could read more new beautiful stories from you; I like very much your style.
Thank you very much and please, post other TIBETTE stories

    3. Ok, i read again this story, this time the whole and i’m ready to leave another comment.

First – thank you again for finish the story.

Second – happy to see happy final -treasure was found, bitch Kelly got lost. And i must say i like how you got rid from her – like in life we can say with 100% probability what happened – or she sank or she was killed by shark.

Third – i like how you described Bette and Tina and love between them. I like it in all your stories (maybe with one exception – in Frozen beginnings i don’t like your Bette during the story, but in final she corrected :) )

So, welcome back and maybe in the future we can see another great story from you? I really hope so.

    4. Hi Kins,
Really enjoyed the read, thank you so much.
A great Story and I loved reading it in one post. As an English Lady I really enjoyed your explanation of Cricket!
I would love it if you would now consider a Sequel with these two characters.
      Thanks again for posting.
