"Look, it’s Porter Junior!" Alice exclaimed, clamoring towards Angelica. "Hello, little girl!"
Tina, Helena, and Angelica all stared at her.
Alice frowned at them. "What?"
"I’ve deemed myself a dirty bisexual, and even I found that disturbing," Tina said, pulling Angelica’s high chair closer to her and away from Alice.
"So that’s what we’re calling ourselves now?" Alice asked, winking at Tina.
"You love me, you know it." Tina returned.
Alice grinned at her. "I’ve missed you, TK."
"Oh, Alice," Tina replied.
Alice waited.
"Oh, that’s it," Tina told her, laughing.
Alice made a face at her, and turned to the Brit. "Helena, whadup?"
Helena held up her bracelet, a sparkly piece of jewelry her mother had given her. "What does this bracelet say to you?"
Alice looked at her, then at Tina, who shrugged. She turned back to Helena. "Ummm…"
"On one hand I think it screams tackiness, on the other hand it claims it is a beautiful piece of accoutrement," Helena said. "It says all these things, but Tina also says the bracelet screams ‘steal me’."
"To me it says…" Alice studied Helena’s wrist.
Helena leaned forward.
"… Beware of talkative bracelets?" Alice said, grinning broadly.
Helena frowned, while Tina laughed, which Angelica mimicked.
Alice smiled innocently at Helena. "Hey, you were asking for it."
"I don’t know why I bother trying to carry a normal conversation with you," Helena frowned at Alice.
"Because you love me," Alice grinned.
Helena rolled her eyes.
"Where’d you get the sparkly, anyway?"
"Par-ley," Angelica repeated, looking up to Tina for approval.
Tina grinned at her. "Sparkly."
"Par-ley."
"No, baby, sp-ark-ly." Tina enunciated each sound.
While Tina corrected her daughter, Alice turned back to Helena. "Well?"
"If you must know, mother gave it to me."
"And you’re wearing it around because–?"
"Because she gives me grief if she catches wind I haven’t been wearing it," Helena replied.
"Will she raise a cacophony?" Alice cracked.
Helena frowned at her. "Why won’t you let me live that down?"
"Because you were scary, and when we met you looked like you wanted to eat Tina." Alice replied. "And not in the good way."
Helena glanced at Tina.

Lara grabbed the muffin from Alice’s hands. “No muffin for you.” Oh no Lara is the MUFFIN NAZI! =O Angelica is so cute. I’m surprised she didn’t try to hide from Alice.
For me the whole scene brightens when Bette arrives. The way you write her character…she is just luminous.TD…you write dialogue like no ther. The banter among the friends is delightful. How much money (U.S.) does Beckham make per year?
Tiff, dunno how u do it, but each chapter manages to make me forget all the work that i have to do.. and i find myself grinning like an idiot at the comp screen :)
I hope that Bette tells Alice soon, although I have a sneaking suspicion that Angelica is going to somehow be involved…

I love it!!They are getting along and being in love again. Lovely. I really wish Tina would just shag Bette as she walks to the table and knock her socks off with a deep passionate kiss. That would surprise everyone at the table except Helena and then they would not have to pretend to their family. Great chapter and Alice, aww Alice will be Alice. The nosey little devil has not figured out that T & B are seeing each other again. Great.
Maybe telling Alice and even Kit will not be as bad as Bette and Tina feared. Good thing Angelica is so cute and young because she could really reveal all of Bette’s and Tina’s secret affair of the heart. Alice is a total hoot. I wonder how Helena is holding it in about the very puplic display that was given to her the night before. I can not wait to see how Kit and Alice are going respond to B&T hooking up again.
I hope Alice would show a little more discretion should she ever speak to my mother. Peggy Peabody, she ain’t.

Thanks Tiff. azmama to answer your question re Beckhams earnings, he earns roughly about 16 million GBP a year give or take a million, this I think is his football salary and image rights with Real Madrid, not sure if this is his combined earnings with the other endorsements he has so this takes it to about 28/29 million US$ a year.
