    Bette walked into the master bedroom and turned on the large flat screen TV to catch up on the news while she unpacked. She took a quick shower, changed into comfortable yoga pants and a tank top then packed her overnight bag for the weekend. She called Michael to thank him then called Kit to

    Bette walked into the master bedroom and turned on the large flat screen TV to catch up on the news while she unpacked. She took a quick shower, changed into comfortable yoga pants and a tank top then packed her overnight bag for the weekend. She called Michael to thank him then called Kit to let her know she’d arrived safely. She went up to the roof top garden which was her favorite place to relax. She dosed off a bit and woke up just before sunset. She went back to her loft heated up one of the gourmet meals for dinner then settled in to watch a newly released movie on pay per view TV.

    The next morning Bette was up early and on the road by 8am. Although she didn’t like driving in Manhattan she kept a car in the building’s underground parking garage for times like this. It was a beautiful early summer day so she drove with the top down on her Saab convertible; a similar model to the one she drove in Los Angeles. She set the GPS, plugged in her iPod and readied herself for the hour and a half drive to Allyn Barnes’ home in upstate NY.

    Bette pulled into the circular driveway of the Barnes’ estate at exactly 9:30a. She was greeted at the car by Matt who offered to take her bags and at the front door by Maria who escorted her to the library where Allyn Barnes was waiting. The library room door was ajar and Bette could hear voices as they approached. Maria knocked politely and pushed the door open then excused herself as Bette entered the room. The conversation stopped as two sets of identical eyes looked her way. Bette immediately recognized one woman as Allyn Barnes and even though she didn’t know the other the uncanny resemblance to the older woman suggested she likely was her daughter. Bette and Allyn had never met in person but they’d talked so often on the phone that it felt natural for them to embrace upon meeting for the first time.

    “Ms. Barnes it’s such a privilege to finally meet you. Thank you so much for having me.”

    “The pleasure is all mine my dear and please call me Allyn. Bette this is my daughter Alyson Cabot.”

    1. Great job BAT, helena is such a bitch and I’m happy that you did not try to make her a nic e person, she needs to have her face kicked in and hopefully Bette will be up to the task. I could never stand her on the show, such an evil bitch. As much as I care àbout Tina she has really disappointed me in this story and I almost feel sorry for her, almost. Since Tina is with henry maybe helena will not be able to get her nasty hooks into her. Thanks for posting. Have a great week.

Hey Bat, this chapter was really amazing, I like so much the change in Bette’s mood, though I know, the pain is still under her skin, I was wondering about the sexual orientation of Allyson, thinking on a possible affair with Bette, but for me, Bette definitely have to change her ways. I guess Helena will approach Tina, and will make (or try at least) her to come back from hetero-Ville, as we know Tina is attracted to women “even though you are the only woman I have ever been with I’m also attracted to women” as she said in the former chapter, and we know it is not about sex but the emotional connection as you said in chapter 9, I don’t know if Tina will find that with Henry (I doubt it, for me disgusting), and she still doesn’t get her answers; but Helena being the bitch that she is, may want to go after Tina, to show Bette, that she could achieve what the director of the CAC couldn’t. I really going to miss your daily updates, thank so much for this story, I’ll be waiting for the next one as everybody else; have a good trip.
