    Author Notes: A long Chapter
    Summary:
    Tina and Bette go to Toronto to close out Tina's apartment and move her things to Los Angeles.

    Tina:  Bette?  I want to marry you.  My answer is yes. I will marry you. I know I want you as my wife with all my heart, my soul and my mind.  I just didn’t expect this.  I love you Elizabeth Maxine Porter and I always will.  Yes, I will marry you!

    Bette: Normally, I would have been better prepared. I don’t have a ring for you… can I get a rain check on that?

    Tina:  I don’t need a ring to be engaged to you Bette Porter. You have my answer. Yes, I will marry you. I cannot wait to be married to you. With or without a ring.  Whenever you want: tonight, tomorrow, next week, next month, next year.  Just let me know if you want to do something special or just a legal ceremony and when and I’ll be there.

    Bette then leaned forward and took Tina in her arms and kissed her passionately and had tears streaming down her cheeks. Tina was kissing with such passion and need that Bette soon allowed her to take the lead in their romantic embrace.

    Tina:  Bette, will you let me take you to bed? I want you and I need you tonight.  I desperately want to make love to you.

    Bette: Come on, let’s go do our nightly routines and then I’ll meet you in bed. And then we will consummate our engagement. Tina, you have made me very, very happy by agreeing to marry me. I do love you so much. Thank you so much.

    Tina: Bette. Thank you for wanting me as your wife.  I love you, Bette. There is nothing that would make me happier than to be your wife….  For life. I want you as my wife! Bette… God, I just want you.

    Bette: I’m not going anywhere except the bathroom… Now (kiss) go (kiss) sweetheart (kiss).

    As Bette was finishing up her lotion application, Tina came behind her and put her arms around her waist.  And started to nibble on her neck and ear.

    Tina: Ummu… you smell good Babe.

    Bette feeling her on her back, turned and noticed that she only had on a robe, and it was displaying Tina’s legs and chest and was barely fastened at the waist.

    1. What a surprising ending, Bette asking Tina to be her wife again.
      Is it to soon? if it feels right for both of them, time doesn’t matter.

      They have packed Tina’s stuff and are ready to move in a new direction, new jobs and looking for a new beach house.

      I actually am glad that you were surprised. Is it too soon? I guess it depends on how you feel about these two. Bette and Tina have taken the time to reestablish their relationship. They have a reasonable understanding of what happened to break them up. Tina made the effort to come back and did it voluntarily. They are both older, mature women who know who they, I believe know each other, as well as any two people can know each other. Life has it limits and sometimes, you have to accept that there are risks in every decision you make. Tina has displayed that she is willing to do whatever it takes to be with Angie, and she loves Bette.

      The choice to me for both of them is really rather simple. Take this opportunity to make a life together or say goodbye forever. If things do not turn out perfectly? Well, I guess that’s life. But in the eyes of my Bette and my Tina, it is better to have tried and lose than never to try at all.

    3. Well, well, well …. A marriage proposal!
      I can’t say I’m surprised.
      Tina really has several all ties with her past, with Carrie and with her job with Showtime. She set out to do this, she knew she wanted it, so made her plan and carried it through perfectly.

      All the time Bette was by her side, encouraging her but not pressing or pressuring her. Making sure this was really what Tina wanted.

      This more than NY I think was more probably more emotional for Tina, cos she now knows, everything is done and she just has to concentrate on her new life with Bette and Angie, her new job and looking for the perfect beach house for their future together.

      Angie and Shane are going to be blown away by this news ….. perfect timing, I think !!

    4. Most who have read this story have said they were surprised by the marriage proposal. I think that both Bette and Tina are somewhat surprised themselves. Not something Bette planned but felt that it was the right thing to do.

      These two women are a pair of equals in their relationship. They are the left and right arm of the couple. Will they never have problems? Doubtful. There will always be something which will rub one the wrong way. But they have a plan on how to work those bumps, stops and starts out. They now have sufficient information and commitment and love to go forward with A New Life.
